This charming bungalow offers a perfect escape for families or couples seeking a peaceful getaway. As you arrive, a flight of stone steps leads you to an expansive patio area with a glass balcony that captures the distant fell views. It’s the ideal spot to savour your morning coffee or unwind with a glass of wine as the sun sets.
Stepping inside, you’ll find an open plan living space that exudes a warm and homely atmosphere. The focal point is a cosy fireplace with a wood burner, surrounded by comfy seating where you can relax after a day of exploring and watch a film on the Smart TV. The dining area comfortably seats four, making it a great place to enjoy meals together. The kitchen is well-appointed with all modern conveniences, allowing you to prepare delicious home-cooked meals with ease. At the rear of the property, two spacious bedrooms await. The first bedroom features a double bed with ample fitted storage and direct access to the rear patio and garden through French doors. The second bedroom is versatile, offering a full-size single trundle bed, with optional additional pull-out bed, making a twin/double. Outside, the enclosed south facing garden is a haven for relaxation, surrounded by shrubs and greenery.
For those who love cycling, there’s a cycle store in the garden. Off-street parking is available for one car, with plenty of on-road parking nearby. Located just 1.6 miles from Kendal Town Centre. More than a market town on the edge of the Lakes, there’s always something to do in Kendal – whatever the weather. This includes indulgent shopping experiences, delicious food and drink, adventurous activities, and leisurely strolls with wonderful views all around. Events and festivals are an excellent way to experience Kendal’s unique culture. The property is a 15-minute walk from Oxenholme train station, and Windermere can be reached in 15 minutes’. Ambleside in 30 minutes by car, traffic dependent, whilst Ingleton Caves and waterfalls can also be reached in 30 minutes in the opposite direction. With the whole of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales both being easily accessible from this location and with so much to do in the area, you will be spoilt for choice. Beach 11 miles.
