About this property
Sun Cottage, Coniston - 3 bedroom cottage with garden, balcony and stunning lake views
With breath-taking lake views and a private balcony, Sun Cottage is the largest of our cottages on Thurston Bank - the highest row of cottages in Coniston's popular "Bank's" area.
Perched high above Coniston Village, Sun Cottage delights its guests with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms over three floors. From its beautifully decorated interior, guests can bask in the magnificent views on offer in this charming stone cottage.
On entering Sun Cottage, guests are greeted with the cottage's welcoming kitchen / dining room. Beyond lies the cosy sitting room with feature log-burning stove and double doors onto the balcony and garden below. From here guests can soak up the magnificent views of Coniston Water and the hills of Grizedale Forest beyond.
Sun Cottage is ideal for couples, pairs of couples or small families looking for a comfortable cottage with fabulous views as a base of Lakeland adventures or to simply relax within and take in those glorious views.
Ground Floor
Stepping inside Sun Cottage brings you into the well-equipped, farm-house style kitchen. Here you will find everything you need to enjoy a self-catering break including an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and handy washer-dryer. A country-style dining table for four completes the room. The kitchen leads onto the spacious sitting room, where all eyes are immediately drawn to the double doors with beautiful views beyond, across to the lake and over to the forested hills of Grizedale. Comfortable seating is arranged around the log-burning stove with oak mantle and, should you be able to take your eyes off the picturesque view, then the room is equipped with a Smart TV. Moving through the double doors and onto the balcony, a table and chairs make the perfect spot for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. From the balcony, steps lead down to the mature, sloping garden.
First Floor
Bedroom 1 is a comfortable double, with lake views and an en suite bathroom with a bath with shower-over, basin and W.C.
