A Magical Place

We had a marvellous stay at this special place. The remote location provides a unique and peaceful retreat. We had a fantastic stay and look forward to returning.

Scottish highlands Comfort

Forest Lodge is down an 8 mile single track road so in winter conditions it’s best to get a 4x4. The Lodge itself has great facilities lovely bedrooms newly refurbished bathrooms. The drying room is a godsend for people who get up on the hill. It would be nice to have some stalking sticks for guests to borrow as lots of our visitors flew into Edinburgh so we’re unable to bring their own. This makes a big difference when ascending and descending.

A great place for a birthday party

We stayed with a group of ladies at Forest Lodge and really loved the place. Super nicely renovated bathrooms, great decorated bathrooms and a super kitchen where you can cook altogether! We loved to be surrounded by nature, and sitting in the evenings at the open fire! Viva Scotland!

Another excellent stay

Love this place. Have been coming to it over 30 years and although we loved it in its rougher state it is just stunning now. The bedrooms and bathrooms are so comfortable. The views are superb and the wildlife breathtaking at times. Brilliant walking, hiking, fishing etc. an outdoor persons paradise. The relaxing accommodation is perfect for big groups, plenty of space to mill around. The refurbished kitchen with all the fridges and freezers means you hardly have to leave the place. If you do leave there is lots to see and do in the area. Hopefully we will be back.

Easter Gathering

We're a large group of friends who meet up each Easter in Scotland to enjoy the mountains and other outdoor activities. This year we chose Forest Lodge as one of two properties on the Atholl Estate. The Lodge is very comfortable, well appointed, warm and cosy. The main living rooms and kitchen are all well equipped and we'd like to thank Lee for providing extra crockery etc. which allowed our complete group to eat together in the evenings. The bedrooms, most of which have recently been refitted, are excellent. No shortage of hot water either, which is lovely when you've got a group returning from the hills all wanting a shower or bath at the same time! We had a good week of weather but even on the dull days there was plenty for everyone, young and old, to do in the area. We would thoroughly recommend this property!
