A lovely bright and spacious two bedroom holiday retreat, minutes from the heart of the beautiful Aberfeldy and stunning Perthshire landscapes. Perfect for hikers and those looking to relax.. Ground Floor:
Bedroom 1: Kingsize (5ft) Bed
Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds
Shower Room: Walk-In Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet
First Floor:
Open plan living space.
Living area: Smart TV, Netflix, Amazon Firestick
Dining area.
Kitchen area: Breakfast Area, Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Dishwasher, Washing Machine. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. . Small patio. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Dallavon Coach House Cottage No.2 is a bright and spacioius two-bedroom cottage. Set in the grounds of the old Dallavon Coach House and found at the end of the drive. As you enter the property you will find the hallway leads to a lovely double bedroom, a twin bedroom and large modern shower room. Head upstairs to the bright open plan kitchen/living/dining area with gorgeous views over the countryside. Outside there is a small sheltered paved patio by an open porch and plenty of private parking accessed via the private drive which is shared with cottage No.1.
Aberfeldy is a conservation town of in the heart of Highland Perthshire boasting of all the local amenities, offering plenty to do. Aberfeldy has a community cinema, restaurants, coffee shops, galleries, delis, independent shops, and an award-winning book shop. There is also a vibrant live music scene in the area, as well as the Highland Games, Aberfeldy Festival and the annual Caledonian Etape cycle event. Great for walkers and cyclists there are many established public footpaths and cycle ways that lead directly from the front door into the heart of rural Perthshire.
The River Tay runs through Aberfeldy providing the perfect landscape for a gentle stroll along the riverbank, white water rafting or fishing, with permits available locally. The Birks of Aberfeldy provide a scenic walk through a gorge and is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, with many varieties of flora and fauna to admire. Highland Perthshire is well known for outdoor activities including hill walking, mountain biking and climbing, with seven munros within 20 miles, including Ben Lawers (Perthshire’s highest mountain) and Schiehallion.
Sailing and boat trips are available on Loch Tay, or experience some of the wildlife on a Highland safari. This location is perfect for exploring the local history and culture, within a short drive of the 16th-century Castle Menzie, Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery, The Scottish Crannog Centre on Loch Tay, and many other castles and monuments. If you still want more adventures, the Aberfeldy Community Campus is close by with a 25m swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, gym, squash, sports hall (including badminton courts) and outdoor tennis courts and football pitches - as well as the local library. Great for rainy days with the family.
