Beautiful Bolthole!

We had a fabulous few days in this lovely property. Great location in the village of Blockley. A very cosy, comfortable stay and we loved the attention to detail in all the rooms. Everything you need for the kitchen, and beautifully laid out. One recommendation would be a mirror above the table in main bedroom (mainly for the using of the hair dryer.) We made great use of the log burner and our little pooch enjoyed laying in front of it after long walks. We would definitely come back and recommend this property to family and friends.

Rosewood cottage Blockley

We had a lovely stay at Rosewood cottage . There were three of us and did feel the lounge seating arrangement would have been cramped had there been 4 . Also a couple of normal saucepans would have been useful rather than all le creuset . Otherwise all good .

Beautiful cottage

A weekend break, and we loved the cottage and location. The lack of gates to both sides at the rear was an issue for us, as we couldn’t let the dog out alone. Also it was very cold in the cottage on arrival, and took a while to warm through, maybe the heat could have been turned on prior to us arriving? However, superbly presented, everything we needed and extremely comfortable, would definitely recommend. We were 4 adults, and just about sat comfortably as it was tiny, but we loved our stay overall

Well appointed cottage

My friend and I stayed several times in this cottage under its previous owner, and it was perfect for us. A comfortable bedroom each, with adjacent bathrooms, a pleasant living area with convenient kitchen, and set close to all amenities in wonderful Blockley. I was very much looking forward to returning. The present owners have made it look lovely, with new colour-coordinated furnishings and kitchen equipment and a good use of space. The bedrooms in particular are beautiful, spacious and comfortable. But ... I have to say that the cottage is a mite unfriendly towards older guests, and I don’t mean the steep staircases. Although we are both in our 80s, we are used to coping with those. Almost everything in the kitchen is heavy and difficult to reach. The only cooking utensils are a couple of large cast iron casseroles placed on a high shelf. The cafetiere is ceramic and heavy, and even the toaster has to be lifted down from a shelf to be used and then put back again. It all looks beautiful, but is not practical. There is not even a small saucepan to boil an egg in. And the TV is a nightmare for non-techies who expect to switch on and find the normal BBC and ITV channels. We would not have been able to use it at all had it not been for the help of the property manager – whom I called because there were no instructions available for anything – who logged me into BBC iplayer so that we could at least watch those channels, but not without some palaver. He also connected my ipad to the internet, as I have never used QR codes and the alternative password didn’t work. Rosewood is still a beautiful, well appointed cottage, but I feel it could be more user-friendly, and that convenience has been sacrificed to appearance.

...very cozy cottage...

The Rosewood Cottage is very well located with a pretty design. The Blockley village is surrounded by nature that is missed in a city. It's a place where you need a break from the city.

A birthday break

My husband and I had an enjoyable stay in Rosewood Cottage for my birthday. We have stayed in Blockley a number of times, it is a lovely village. The house is well designed, with quality fixtures and fittings. It was really comfortable. The garden is delightful.

Beautiful cottage in a great location

Rosewood cottage didn’t disappoint, it’s been beautifully designed and furnished to an excellent level. Located in a quiet street in Blockley and a great base. The weather was glorious so we sat out for breakfast every morning to enjoy the views. Only one thing to consider is the stairs are steep so a bit of a challenge to carry our cases upstairs, despite that I wouldn’t hesitate to book again in such a friendly village

My new favorite place to stay

Hated to leave this wonderful gem, beautifully decorated, super cozy and clean. The owners were wonderful and responded quickly regarding the cottage. Looking forward to renting again in the future.

A comfortable luxurious cottage

It was very nice and beautifully put together but in their effort to having everything toning a lack of ordinary pans was a distinct omission. Despite a plea not to fry the only standard pans were frying pans. I do know, as I have some Le Creuset make very good ordinary style pans. My husband also found the kitchen taps disconcerting as they turned the wrong way according to him.

Wonderful bolthold

The cottage was ideally located to explore the Cotswolds. It was clean, and finished to a high standard. Had a beautiful back garden and was very quiet. Enjoyed staying here and would definitely stay again.

A beautiful bolthole

This was such a lovely cottage to stay in: Beautifully decorated, clever use of space, kitchen equipped with le creuset and a perfectly placed location. Beds were so comfortable too. There were walks from the front door and the village shop well stocked. I went for much needed R&R and would stay again. Loved this cottage.
