Travel cot, highchair and stairgate. Lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. Balcony. Private parking for 4 cars. No smoking. . This eco-friendly, large holiday home is built into the hillside in the Strathconon Glen, close to Loch Meig. Rathad an Drobhair (pronounced raa-had an droh-vir) gets it’s name from the old drovers road that was to the front of the house. The Gaelic name translates to ’drovers way’. The property is an upside down house, with the main living areas on the first floor, with great views of Loch Meig from the living room and balcony. The holiday home is ideal for families or groups of up to 10, for those wanting to get away from it all and relax in the beauty of the unspoilt Strathconon Glen. That said, this holiday home is just 10 miles from Strathpeffer and is still an excellent base for exploring the Highlands. Dingwall is 14 miles away, and further 15 miles from Dingwall is the city of Inverness, the capital of the Highlands.

Very well equipped house in a beautiful if remote location.
Very well equipped house in a beautiful if remote location. Some of the kitchen equipment is a bit tired and could be replaced but we loved the sauna and barbecue. Hill up to the house a bit of a challenge but we managed. Midges this year we’re bad meaning we didn’t use the balcony much.
