My family had a great time staying here & enjoying the lake. We had a boat & the only way to be closer to the boat ramp was to camp by the lake. House was well taken care of & host was very accommodating. The driveway to the house was a little tricky with a boat but definitely doable. We are looking at making this an annual trip.
I enjoyed the views from all the family room windows, gorgeous during the winter. You can see the lake and sunsets. The driveway definitely needs to be redone and steam cleaning of some of the furniture. Regarding cleaning there should have been more than an eighth of a role of paper towel and a used washcloth was in the shower. It made me wonder if it was cleaned before me. The owner was responsive and kind to work with.
My husband and I took out three sons here and we had an excellent time. The house looks even better in person than in the photos. It was very clean and had everything we needed to cook, clean, sleep, and shower during our stay. The views from the living area were gorgeous and we loved spending time around the fire pit. We are definitely going to book again in the future during a time when it's not as cold.
The house and location were perfect for us. We needed to be close to Park Hill with enough room for my family to rest and relax. We couldn't have chosen a better place, the first morning we were there we watched deer grazing in the front yard.
We were in the area for a family reunion and the Cherokee Nation Holiday. We had ample space for the littles. Everything was perfect. We will definitely be back as we have family in the area.
Very comfortable and relaxing property. Air conditioning did a great job keeping everyone comfortable on the warm days we were there. Driveway is fairly steep and a little hard to get around. Slow to get address and location of property making it difficult to coordinate with the others we were traveling with. Don't think this was in the control of the property owner. Would recommend and stay here again.

Could have been better.
This was our second stay. We were a little disappointed. It looked a little worn. Almost ran out of toilet paper. Did run out of dish soap, laundry soap and paper towel. We probably won’t stay again because it’s not conducive for boats or accessibility for cars/trucks to park, unload, etc. very tight. Trees could be trimmed so that you are not scratching up you vehicle.
Beautiful house, spacious and clean. The covered patio area with charcoal grill was perfect. Lots of extras you normally don’t find in a vacation rental. Owner was quick to communicate. The only issue was a sewer smell when we arrived. I think the septic just needs emptied or bathrooms vented better.
We really enjoyed the stay here. Beds were super comfortable, kitchen was completely equipped. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy company. Secluded and very quiet.
We rented this property late Thursday night (after 9pm) for the next day. The owner reached out immediately to let me know we were good. The property was very easy to find (sometimes a problem in the rural lake towns) and was exactly as described.
Great to know that I can get a place to stay so fast. Thanks to the owner for the fast turn around. This cabin is so close to the water that we were able to kayak out, go back for a late lunch, then kayak to watch the sunset easily.
The only issue we had all weekend was one of the rods on the fooseball table was jamming up a bit, but we managed. Haha. Thank you!
We really enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable, clean, and pleasant. The natural light from all of the windows was wonderful. Our kids really enjoyed the bunk beds, toys, and foosball table.
The house is very nice, has a beautiful view. It seems as though you are up in a tree house. The had everything we needed with many extras that rentals don't usually have. The owner was very quick to answer any questions and went above and beyond on her answers. The bed, well . . . lets just say I loved it more than my own which is another rarity in traveling!
My husband and I enjoyed our weekend stay at the Big Orange. Everything was super clean and comfortable! That king bed in the master was lovely to sleep on. And Ruth was super kind and accommodating. We came up to enjoy nature and search for bald eagles nesting here for the winter. We were blessed to spot three near Fort Gibson Lake.
We had such a lovely stay at the Big Orange. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook most of our meals. With covid, we were nit too keen on going out. The view from the sunroom/living room was wonderful especially with the snow. The fire pit was great. The beds were comfy and the house was decorated so nicely. We will have to come back.
We loved the Orange house for the weekend. Very clean, comfortable and relaxing. They even had a bottle of Champagne waiting for us for our Anniversary.
