Host was incredibly hospitable and the rental was very clean, comfortable, and you can’t beat the location. Across the street is a beautiful playground, baseball fields, skate park, and YMCA. Coffee shops and restaurants all within a 3-10 min walk. The Shore Path along the water is a very short walk. Just can’t beat the location if you have a small family.

Cozy house, great location

The Crow’s Nest is so warm and comfortable! Not modern, but classic and has everything you might need. Love the vintage tile and skylight in the upstairs bathroom (made it feel like you are showering in a tree house!). Margie is an excellent host with great communication. Short walk to downtown shops and restaurants, and on the “right” side of town to access Acadia quickly. Loved our stay, thank you, Margie!

Great house in a great location

This is a well kept, cute historic home! We found the location in Bar Harbor to be convenient for walking and getting to Acadia. The house itself is clean and well stocked with linens and the kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots, and pans, etc. We had no issues with the property and were able to cook our own breakfasts and even use the grill. We didn't have a reason to contact the property owner, but the property was exactly as described and check-in very easy!

Perfect

We enjoyed our stay so much, mostly because of our new friendship with Marge! She was a great neighbor and host, who answered questions and gave good advice when we asked. The house is older, with lots of charm. Showers are a little small, but we knew that before we booked, because of other reviewers. That wouldn't stop us from staying again and giving this VRBO a perfect review! Thanks for the memories, Marge!

Great visit to Maine!

Marge's home has it all. The location is perfect. The home itself is warm and welcoming. Marge's touches, her written suggestions, and her availability made for an stress-free week. We will be back!

Cozy cottage at the edge of Bar Harbor

We absolutely loved our stay at Margie's Cozy Cottage! It was clean, well cared for and in a perfect location! The half mile stroll along Main street allowed for us to see all dining options, listen to live music, have access to bike rentals, as well as the shops and Bar Harbor. She supplied games, area "things to do" pamphlets, restaurant recommendations and Maine blueberry soda and jam as a special treat. We would highly recommend Margie's property and would love to come back in the future! Thanks Margie!

We loved everything about our stay. Marge was extremely helpful before and during our trip and had excellent recommendations that we took advantage of. The house is great for a family. We had 4 adults and 2 kids. It's an easy walk downtown and to a bunch of restaurants. Highly recommended!

Gem in Bar Harbor

Crow's Nest is our very favorite place to stay in Bar Harbor! After many family trips to MDI over the past decade, this lovely home is the only place we have stayed multiple years (and in the years we didn't often because it was already booked or we had a larger group). It is a perfect home base for exploring the island and Acadia. Location is great - convenient but also a bit away from the busyness of the downtown area. Easy walks to town and the ocean, and the farmer's market right across the street is a special treat. Marge is a warm and thoughtful host, and she is always generous in her suggestions of wonderful, less known spots. We can't wait to go back!

Wonderful Vacation

This was a wonderful rental. The location is perfect. Very close walk to downtown Bar Harbor while still being quiet. We really enjoyed touring Acadia National Park during the day and walking up through town in the evenings to enjoy a meal, ice cream or beverage. Marge was a great host. The kitchen has every thing you would need, even spices, etc. Welcome treats was a really nice gesture. My only complaint is the WIFI. This was not a hardship for me, just would not be a properly you could remote work from.

Conveniently located cottage

This home worked well for us. Marge has several nice touches that were very helpful. The location was perfect. Renters should know that the WiFi was weak and briefly dropped out at times. None-the-less, a great place if you want quaint and functional.

great cozy cottage right in Bar Harbor

Marjorie's home is comfortable and has all the basic needs covered. She has it well supplied with kitchen basics so we could cook in as much as we wanted and the living room area was cozy and comfortable for evenings of games or TV. It is a small home but in a great location a half block off of Main Street, Bar Harbor. Easy access to Acadia National Park. The upstairs bedrooms are under sloped eaves which makes it charming, but taller people will feel that in the tub/shower. Perfect for kids, however. The living space is comfortable and the kitchen has plenty of room to maneuver. The only complaint is that the wifi was a bit slow and weak, but we were there for the beautiful area and activities so we got over that quickly!!

Wonderful week in Bar Harbor

This lovely house was perfect for two friends meeting in Bar Harbor from two sides of the country. Location made walking to dinners in Bar Harbor a breeze and the proximity to the shore path was a joy. Yet just far enough away from the main bustle of Bar Harbor to be quiet and relaxing. Getting into Acadia for hikes and walks was quick and easy. The owner was super friendly yet unobtrusive. And the house was stocked with all the basics that made our stay a pleasure. I would definitely rent this house again.

Fantastic home!

This is the second summer we have stayed at this property. It is absolutely the BEST place to stay in Bar Harbor. It is easy to walk into town but located in a quiet neighborhood. The property owner is wonderful! We can't say enough good things about it! Highly recommend!

Perfect for Us

This VRBO stay may have been the best one we have experienced. I will mention Kim, in Netarts ,OR who will always receive our 5 Star recommendation. This home had a good location, quiet but also close to everything we wanted. It was very well stocked with everything we needed. It was very clean. The home was uncluttered. It had all the room we needed with very comfortable sitting, lounging and sleeping areas. The beds were very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure! The windows opened with screens to let in all the wonderful Bar Harbor fresh air. The weekly Farmer’s Market was almost next door! We came to really love and appreciate Chocolate-Latte, Peeky Toe and the small pizza place across Maine Street. The home is situated on a convenient short path to the Shoreline Walkway. Maybe best of all was Marjorie the host. From the very first inquiry into the property she was amazing. When I had questions, she mailed me a map. Marjorie offered wonderful, great advice and suggestions as to the Acadia hikes we might like, bike rentals and restaurants galore. By the way, she was right about them all! There were welcoming gifts for us upon our arrival. After meeting her, I only liked her more. For these reasons and more, Marjorie is a Super Host.

Great Week

We had a wonderful week in Bar Harbor staying at the Crow's Nest. The house is cozy and charming and just a short walk to both downtown's shops and restaurants and the beautiful views of the Shore Path. Marjorie is a great host - she's right next door to help if you have any questions. I would definitely recommend this spot if you're planning a trip to Acadia!

The perfect Bar Harbor stay!

We had the absolute best stay visiting Bar Harbor! The Crows' Nest was cozy and had everything you needed and more. The home is was walking distance from everything in Bar Harbor, right down the street from some of our favorite restaurants, and an easy drive into Acadia. Marjorie was extremely accommodating and so kind, even offering us recommendations for catering in the area for our upcoming wedding events. We will absolutely be back to stay again soon!

This property was absolutely charming! Marjorie was quick to respond to questions, the house had all the amenities we needed to make our stay very comfortable. Perfect Stay

We didn’t want to leave! The Crow’s Nest was so comfortable and cozy. It is in the perfect location for access to Acadia National Park and right in downtown Bar Harbor so that everything in town is an easy walk from the house. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed for the times we wanted to cook and stay in. There was also a grill available on the deck in the cutest garden space. Marge was wonderful. She gave us a warm welcome and checked to make sure we were settled in ok. We have been coming to Bar Harbor for 25 years and she was still able to recommend some walks around town and in the park that we had not yet experienced. We look forward to staying again!

Excellent location!

This is an excellent location! Walking distance to the center of town, and an easy drive to Acadia national park via Schooner head road or Cromwell harbor road, avoiding the traffic in town. My only caveat would be the upstairs bathroom, which 1) technically has a shower, but you can’t stand up in it if you’re over 5’6” tall, and 2) has no counter space around the sink. Other than that minor inconvenience, it’s a nice place!

We loved everything about this property. From the very warm owner to the park nearby, to the walking distance to some great restaurants and ice cream shops . Despite the close proximity to everything the neighborhood is quiet. We totally enjoyed our stay at the Crow's Nest.

Wonderful location, house, and owner!

We stayed in the Crows Nest the first week of August and absolutely loved it. The house is very warm and reminded my husband of his grandma's home. Our daughter keeps telling us we need to move into the house and live next to Marge. Marge was wonderful and worked with us on our very late check-in since we were driving from Virigina. We already are planning on coming back in two years!
