About the host
Hosted by Petra Smith

"Hello" from Petra and Gary. We love travelling, adventure and creating unforgettable memories with our children. While now we live locally, we have previously successfully run serviced apartments in the charming city of Prague a few years ago. We absolutely loved the experience and decided to make it happen near to our home in Harrogate.
Why they chose this property
We love Harrogate in particular due to its offering of a delightful blend of history, culture, as well as modern amenities catering to multiple age groups. As a prospective guest, expect to be greeted by the town's elegant architecture, picturesque streets, and lush green spaces.
We particularly enjoy the town's thriving café culture, which includes a variety of independent coffee shops and eateries, where you can savour locally sourced ingredients and indulge in the region's renowned culinary delights. We also LOVE the iconic Betty's Tea Rooms, a beloved institution that has been serving up delectable afternoon teas and baked goods since 1919.
For those seeking a more lively atmosphere, Harrogate boasts a vibrant bar and restaurant scene, with a diverse range of options to suit every taste. From cozy pubs serving traditional Yorkshire ales to trendy cocktail bars and upscale dining establishments, there's something to delight everybody.
Beyond the town's charming centre, Harrogate is also surrounded by stunning natural beauty, with The Stray, Valley Gardens, the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks just a short drive away. With Leeds and York also being a short train journey or drive away, visitors can enjoy a wealth of activities, from hiking and cycling to rock climbing, abseiling... and (of course) shopping!
The town also has a rich cultural heritage, with a calendar of events and festivals throughout the year, including the renowned Harrogate International Festivals, which celebrate music, literature, and the arts.
Whether you're seeking a relaxing getaway, a cultural immersion, or an active adventure, Harrogate offers a truly unique and unforgettable experience. Its combination of historic charm, modern amenities, and stunning natural surroundings make it an ideal destination for a memorable holiday.
