About this property

The Old Post Office - Truly unique, quirky house

The Old Post Office
Sleeps 8 \ 4 Bedrooms \ 1 bathrooms + WC + bedroom shower
Quirky, impressive, unique property full of character
This exquisite property is really the perfect getaway, if you are looking for a unique, quirky property that offers amazing different areas then this really would be the perfect choice. Especially for families that want flexible entertaining areas, from the reception room on the entry level that is perfect for hosting take away or games evenings, with an additional entertaining room in the basement that has a tv area for lounging around, a multi function games machine for kids (and adults), multi use games table including pool, air hockey and table tennis, the secret hidden bar room with honesty bar. And if that wasn't enough there is a further sitting room on the first floor and a further dining room leading to the kitchen. Don't worry, with all these living areas, there are also 4 bedrooms, one of which has its own shower cubicle. Rarely do properties of this flexibility exist and it is located in the ever popular Addington Street area, close to the harbour and side sea views from your front door.
Ramsgate has plenty to offer with the only Royal Harbour in the country, lots of shops and cafe’s on the harbour parade, not to mention the huge selection of restaurants on offer for evening dining. Plenty of cocktail bars and nightlife too. Plus there is a Waitrose at the end of Addington Street for topping up on all the supplies you need for a great break.

What the owner says:
We fell in love with this house as soon as we saw it. Filled with character and nooks and crannies and the perfect place for large groups to enjoy some quality time together.
We’ve tried to fill it with fun, and plenty of opportunities to take a break from the hecticness of every day life (for all ages)So we hope you enjoy the place as much as we do.

Lovely break in Ramsgate

The house is exactly as described - very quirky and different. We loved Baxter's Bar and the seating areas were lovely; the games room was a big hit with our little one (and not so young ones too, if we're honest!). The location is ideal for Ramsgate - situated at the top of a bank minutes away from bars, restaurants and the marina. The local shop was less than a minute away and there was a pub in the same street that was fantastic for breakfast. The house is full of character and decorated with a unique style. The only thing we didn't 'like' was the downstairs bedroom's shower which had no door - quite a shock for our elderly parents. If you are travelling with older guests please be aware that due to the nature and age of this beautiful house, the stairs are very steep and there's only a rope rather than a handrail. The nearest toilet is also up a few stairs so be mindful if mobility is even a slight issue. Other than those two niggles we had an amazing time in a lovely property.
