About this property

This is a rambling, 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch style home on Mumm’s Bay on Lake Namakagon. It is perched only feet from the lakeshore The screened porch offers another place for you to enjoy the lake breezes.
This home is an older home and great for fishing groups with a private dock.
The interior extends from the lakeside living room with its row of windows, satellite TV and wood burning fireplace; to the master bedroom and bath with a walkout patio door to the lake and to 2 more bedrooms.
This is a rustic rental home on a great part of the lake.

*We have been working with the Department of Health and have new cleaning standards and procedures for all our Beds. On each bed we will provide sheets, pillow and pillow case and blankets. You will need to bring your own towels and any soaps.

Extended Weekend Up North

The description and the reviews of the property let us know in advance that the cabin could use some updates and/or was not a brand new 5 star cabin. However, the cabin was clean. The communications were good. The water was yellow and had a strong smell, but we were assured it is frequently tested and safe. We loved the screen room and honestly did not have any issues or concerns. We were able to work remote and we slept well.

Diamond in the ruff

What a location! Your own private Dock and the boat launch 1.6 miles away. Large driveway across the road to park your truck and trailer. Beds were very comfortable and the view was amazing. I shouldn’t talk it up so much or it may not be available next time…lol.

Lake Namekagon.

The location of the property on the lake was wonderful but that but the but the property had several issues. There were carpenter ants and and mosquitoes coming down the chimney. The water was so rusty. It was not drinkable and we had to throw our toothbrushes away at the end of our stay, because they were so rusty. One of the members skin actually was orange, because of the rust in the water. The most serious issue was the stairs and walkway down to the dock. The railings were rotten when held onto they wiggle back-and-forth you could not lean on them safely.

Very reasonable with sleeping accommodations for many if you choose. The lake front is wonderful along with the sunsets and nice beach for swimming. Peaceful stay with wonderful access to Lake Namegagon

Perfect location with a fabulous view and access to Lake Namekagon. Having a pontoon with the rental was extremely convenient!

The steps to dock are in need of repair. I fell down using them one time. I would hate to sue if I got hurt.

Location Location

The location of this property is great. I prefer rustic cabins so originally I was excited. The view of the lake is phenomenal. It is right on the road so can be noisy at times. The interior cabin is spacious. It was nice to have a washer and dryer. The beds were comfy. The living room chairs are dirty and need to be replaced. Fortunately the weather cooperated so we were outside most of the time. The exterior is a different story. Very run down. Screens held together with duct tape. Lights in the breezeway and exterior do not work. Unable to open living room windows. The screen porch was dirty especially the screens. The exterior of the cabin was covered in spider webs and dead bugs. I swept the exterior for an hour just to make it palatable. The dock stairs are broken and somewhat dangerous. Need to level out the back yard. If it wasn’t for the great weather and view it could have been a disaster. It wouldn’t take much to spruce it up for travelers.

July 4th visit at Siedls on Mumms Bay, Lake Namakagon 2022

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 2nd visit to beautiful Lake Namakagon on Mumms Bay. Would we come back? Definitely! The house was very clean with the amenities one would expect. Staying in the bay with sandy water and beautiful sunsets was perfect. Hwy D was very close but, it is all about the water. The only negative was the lack of upkeep on the outer cabin in such a jem.

Great place to stay

Property was clean but is definitely not "new" and could use some work but overall, we were very impressed. Be sure to bring water for the coffee pot and for drinking - the water here is VERY hard and even the coffee tasted bad. The photos do not include the extra bedroom in the back with a full bed and we were pleased - especially my boys as they did not have to share a bedroom. The master bedroom has a private bath and the bed faces a patio door that looks over the lake - it was nice hearing the loons every evening. Loved our stay!

North woods Cabin feel

A definite cabin feel. All rooms were clean, including bathrooms. Bed linens were clean. Nice that it had 2 bathrooms. The outside of the building itself is kinda run down and could use some work, especially the windows, screens dirty and some screens held/patched with duct tape. Don’t forget bug spray! Dock is in nice shape. Agree with previous reviews about strong iron smell from water, bring drinking water, and not a lot of yard space. But able to have a nice campfire. Great views of lake! Overall we had great family time. Fishing was a little slow for us, but still had fun. We rented a boat from resort on lake, didn’t know we could have gone through the management company of cabin.

Fantastic home with great view

What a great vacation. Older home with everything you need and more. Nice and cozy, with history of original owners.. Very clean. Fantastic view of lake right out the living room and master bedroom. Only a few steps to the dock. We brought our pontoon and it was perfect. No complaints at all. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful location!

This location on the lake is AMAZING! Dock, swimming and boating was the best we've had on this lake. The house is quite large and very comfortable. It could use some TLC. Furniture and house is old. Some of the windows do not open and no air. All the ceiling fans work and it was cool enough. Lots of cob webs and rather larger water spiders.... IN the sinks and tubs, probably could have been cleaned better. Unfortunately the WiFi did not work, the water was very brown/orange "beware of washing clothes" and there is no yard for any outdoor activities. Even with those minor things, we would stay there again, the lake location and extremely comfy beds were well worth it!

Lakeside

It was a great spot! The lake was beautiful and Champagne Island was straight out. We rented a pontoon for a day and went there, great little sandbar. The beach outside of the cabin is really pretty sandy as well. There's no easy way to get into the water other than either climbing down a few large rocks or jumping off the dock. Kids did both, so wasn't really a big thing. Definitely advise bringing some drinking water with you!!! The water from the facet does not taste good. Would recommend including that in the listing. And maybe adding some larger curtains in the 2 smaller rooms, as well as over the outside door in the bedroom. Otherwise, overall a great stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very enjoyable weekend at Siedls. It is very close to the water with sunsets. Loved the open floor plan in main area. Clean and spacious. The exterior could use some TLC and replacement of the 2 living room chairs would be nice. Should be noted that the property is located on Hwy D.. also on a bay so there are calmer waters. Would return.
