Mole's Cottage is a luxury haven situated on the eastern side of Coniston Water. A perfectly luxurious "Gold" award cottage for made just for 2, it boasts simply outstanding lake and mountain views.
With an elevated position above the lake, Mole's Cottage offers breath-taking lake and mountain views towards the village and the dramatic Coniston Fells beyond.
Recently refurbished to an exceptionally high standard, the layout of the cottage allows for a most comfortable stay. Whilst perfectly sized for two, this spacious retreat offers guests a warm, welcoming, romantic sanctuary, perfect for any Lake District adventure.
Enjoying the best of both worlds, the cottage is ideally positioned to take advantage of the beauty and tranquillity of the Lake District with the plentiful amenities of Coniston village just a mile away. Further delights such as the charming village of Hawkshead, favoured by Beatrix Potter, or the recognisable skyline of the Langdale Valley are also within a short drive.
In essence Mole's Cottage offers couples an idyllic and comfortable base, conveniently situated for enjoying the very best of the beautiful Lake District.
Ground Floor
Entry through the light and bright sun-room, via the impressive slate paved terrace (you may struggle to remove yourself from standing here, simply due to the views, they're that good!). The sun-room, complete with comfortable seating offers a great place to relax and admire those awe inspiring views.
From the sun-room there's open entrance into the cosy open plan living area.
The lounge enjoys comfortable seating, a wood burning stove, Free Sat TV & DVD player. This is the perfect place to curl up with a good book, enjoy a glass of wine or simply to sit and daydream after a day on the lake or exploring the mountains. There's also a small dining table and chairs tucked away which can be moved around to take advantage of the sun room views.
The modern cottage kitchen is well appointed, benefiting from electric oven and hob, fridge with small freezer compartment, microwave & dishwasher. The kitchen also enjoys a lovely view towards the fields & forest beyond (no fighting over who washes up here!).
At the far end of the kitchen a door leads to the cottage stairwell and to the upstairs living areas.
First Floor
Once you've climbed the short flight of stairs you are presented with the beautiful master bedroom and modern en suite shower room.
The deceptively spacious bedroom encompasses a comfortable king size bed, dressing area, comfortable window seat and views across the fields down the length of Coniston Water.
The en suite shower room offers a walk in shower, W.C & basin and there is also a washer dryer cleverly tucked into the bathroom design.
Outside
Guests will have use of a lovely slate paved patio terrace with garden furniture, immediately accessible from the sunroom. From this spot with heavenly views you can simply watch the world go by.

Bed linen, towels, electricity, Wi-Fi, oil fired central heating & initial logs for the fire during cooler weather.
