Lovely comfortable cottage and we will recommend to friends

Thank you for our cream tea we really enjoyed that! Have had a great stay - not our first time in Mevagissey - honeymooned here 49 years ago and revisited many times. Lovely comfortable cottage and we will recommend to friends.

Very clean & tastefully decorated

Lovely holiday home in the centre of the beautiful village of Mevagissey. Very handy for parking, shops & the harbour. Lovely welcome pack waiting for us on arrival. Very clean & tastefully decorated. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage in Mevagissey

The cottage is tucked away in a very quiet and peaceful area only a couple of minutes walk from the harbour. It’s extremely well equipped and furnished and had everything we needed. Great to have a washer/drier too so that we could refresh our towels/teatowel during our stay. Cleaning wasn’t as good as it could’ve been, the kitchen floor was very gritty and obviously hadn’t been hoovered but no problem as there was a hoover so we did it ourselves. Toilet appeared clean but was very dirty just under the rim, this was visible from the bath. A bit more attention to detail is needed.

Great property for experiencing Mevagissey in comfort

This cottage is in a great location for exploring Mevagissey - it is a 3 minutes walk to the harbour which has lots of amenities including bakeries, fresh fish outlets and cafes. There is also a small beach next to the harbour for swimming / paddling. The cottage is comfortable with a well-equipped kitchen diner and lounge downstairs and two bedrooms / main bathroom upstairs on two upper floors, Perhaps a bit on the dark side and there's no outside space, but this is easily compensated by the short walk to the harbour. There's no parking, so park in the Sunny Corner Car Park (across the way from the property) - you can get a weeks ticket. The entrance is down the passage next to 47 Old Harbour Cottage sign. So if you want a comfortable stay in a cottage well within easy reach of the pretty Mevagissey harbour this is for you. Minor issues - lack of washing up cloths / brush (we ended up buying our own!), heating is by space heaters so could smell a bit damp at times and locking the front door took a bit of getting used to!

Cosy cottage in perfect location

Location was excellent. Just a two minute stroll round the corner into the harbour. Not far to walk from the carpark either which is ideal. Lovely cosy cottage. We felt at home here. No tea towel or oven gloves were in the kitchen. Letter said for rubbish to be separated into clear and yellow bags however we were only left a clear bag and no yellow bags so couldn't separate the rubbish. Cottage was very clean but was some hairs in the bath that I noticed when I went to have a shower. Some cleaning products were left in the cupboard under the sink so I cleaned the bath myself. Would prefer to not have a text from finest retreats waking me up at 7am to remind me to get out by 10am or we will get charged.
