The apartment
Our apartment has been furnished in 2018 with new furniture and is fully equipped for your enjoyment, including an espresso machine.
If you like to stay close to UNESCO World Heritage Kotor city, but not within the tourism crowd and if you don't like to be in the mass of party people from Budva, Lavender Bay might be the best alternative for you. Lavender Bay is just a small resort (64 apartments in total) with all facilities you need for a luxury and quiet vacation or hideaway.
We have focused to select modern furniture and beds with a complete set of utilities you need for daily use (e.g. 4k satellite TV, Netflix app, sound bar, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine etc).
The apartment has the size of 75 m2, which includes 2 bedrooms with each of them a luxury bathroom. The apartment includes 3 toilets in total. Balcony with mountain and partial sea view. 3x AC units.
We have a nice and spacious bed of 180x200, modern style, with relaxing headrest, wardrobe and the best mattresses they offer in Montenegro. The other bedroom has two beds of 90x200, hotel style and very good mattresses as well. Our priority has been a purchase in high quality beds, guaranteeing you the best for a comfortable and relaxing stay... The sleeping rooms can also be made pretty dark with shutters.
The village Morinj
One of the most enchanting places on the picturesque Bay of Kotor is Morinj. The village nestles between the deep green hills, embroidered with exotic flowers and lush Mediterranean greenery, and the turquoise sea. The water is particularly clear around Morinj thanks to the numerous springs that rise around the village, giving the area its alternative name, ‘Little Venice’.
Morinj is also the location for the most famous restaurant in the Bay of Kotor, Catovici Mlini, a wonderfully restored old mill set in the water meadows of Morinj. This and the other ancient houses that dot the seafront evoke the centuries-old spirit of the bay. Several beaches and a small marina complete the local amenities.
Morinj is minutes away from the historic village of Perast, littered with the palaces of 17th century Venetian merchants and sea captains each vying for the best view over to the beautiful island monastery of St. George.
The luxurious marina complex of Porto Montenegro and Portinovi are also nearby.
Bay of Kotor
Boka Kotorska, or Kotor Bay, is a place of stunning natural beauty and a member of the association for the "Most Beautiful Bays in the World". It’s the southern-most fjord in Europe - a vast butterfly shaped expanse of water enclosed by breathtaking mountain scenery.
It’s also a magnet for discerning buyers of overseas property in Montenegro: Many pretty villages and towns dot the shore line.
At the head of the fjord lies the old city of Kotor, which became a protected UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979. Narrow alleyways open out onto preserved piazzas, churches and palaces. The awe-inspiring 12th century city walls climb 200m up the sheer mountain face and form an impressive backdrop to Kotor’s annual Venetian carnival.
Guest access
Guests have access to the on-site facilities which include a hot tub, Finnish sauna and Moroccan hammam. The resort also includes a pool with infinity-edge and lounge chairs for sunbathing. The distance from our apartment to the pool area is about 150 meter.
At the reception you can ask for a massage. 1 hour is approxamitely 50 euro and 35 euro for half an hour.
From our balcony the view is primarily overlooking a big mountain. However if you are sitting at the balcony the side view is looking towards the sea, but please don't expect the same gorgeous look as from the pool.
The apartment has a private parking place in front the door.
Montenegro is a fantastic country, it has stolen already many hearts. It's a gem of Europe...
In our apartment there is also a Lonely Planet of Montenegro (2017).
The nearest airport is Tivat airport, 12 km. But flying to Dubrovnik is also a very good option (low budget carriers)!
Other details to note
Please note that due to Covid the cafeteria at the swimming pool has been closed and it hasn't been re-opened yet. The same for the gym area. At a walking distance you have the Tramontana Beach bar where they serve delicious coffee and other beverages and food. We also have an espresso machine in the apartment.
