About this property
Boatswains Cottage by Whitstable Seaside
Boatswains Cottage is a beautiful 19th Century weatherboard fisherman’s cottage, just yards from the beach and situated on Whitstable’s sought after Island Wall.
Once used by the coastguard, this wood-framed cottage provides accommodation for 4 people over 3 floors and still retains its original features. Spread over three floors, the style of the house is beautifully simple. There are fantastic views of the sunny garden from the balcony and a wood burning stove provides cosy evenings during the colder months. Featuring all the mod cons you would expect and with the beach and tennis courts just yards away, this is a stylish getaway by the sea.
Beautiful well-equipped cottage with open-plan sitting/dining area, family bathroom with WC, wash basin, bath and handheld shower. First floor balcony and sunny courtyard garden with decked seating area.
Open plan sitting/dining room with wood burning stove, flat-screen TV and DVD player, leading to kitchen/dining area equipped with microwave, fridge, washer/dryer, dishwasher and gas hob with electric oven. Doors leading to a well established sunny courtyard garden with decked seating area.
Twin bedroom and spacious Kingsize bedroom, and a beautiful family bathroom with roll top bath and handheld shower head, leading to balcony area.
PLEASE NOTE: the cottage may be unsuitable for younger children in respect to the stairs and the balcony area and children must be supervised at all times.
NOTE: The stairs in the cottage are quite steep

Here is a snippet of the recent reviews of Boatswains Cottage.
“We stayed at the cottage as a family (2 children) and enjoyed our stay. The cottage itself is cute and at the same time big enough not to feel cramped. The facility leaves nothing to be desired. The sweet little garden with a terrace has a lot of sun in the afternoon. Also the location close to the beach and the Old Neptune Pub convinced us!”
“We loved our stay. The house is as advertised, just beautiful - over a cold weekend it was very cosy, we spent many hours reading by the fire. We hope to return soon.”
“Fantastic cottage in a fantastic location! It’s cosy and comfortable and has everything you need. We especially loved having baths with the balcony doors opened, my children are begging for a bath like it! We also loved sitting out in the deck chairs in the garden. The location is great, tucked away enough to have peace but a short walk to everything you need. Would definitely stay again.”
