About this property
Relax in our stunning mountainside wood cabin minutes from the beach!
Relax with the whole family at our beautiful, peaceful holiday home. Our house is a large, secure, family friendly space big enough for the whole extended family. Lovely outdoor entertaining area with the unique and enviable ability to be wind free!
Enjoy a sunrise coffee on our verandah with stunning beach, valley and mountain view’s. Just minutes walk from a fabulous local beach while also being close to amenities, shops, a surf school & one of the best restaurants the peninsula has to offer.
Its just a really great space. With a stunning large open plan lounge/dining room combo the possibilities are endless for relaxation and chill time. We have hosted many dinner parties and braais (bbq's) in the stunning dining room, the eat in kitchen and in the suntrap area outside the back kitchen door.
We have a full inverter system installed so during load shedding you won’t feel the difference in internet or small appliance use. The stove won’t work but that lends itself to the perfect reason and opportunity to either eat out or have a braai (bbq)!
The house is made up pf 4 double bedrooms with 2 travel cots for young children (effectively sleeping 10). Our house is slightly unusual in that it has the main kitchen as well as an additional kitchen, and the main lounge with an additional lounge/tv room. The house used to be let as a main house with an additional cottage but we have combined it so that its one large property. We have found it super useful to have an additional kitchen and lounge area when there is a large group of us, especially when we have our in-laws as Granny and Grandpa have a separate space to use when they need a bit of 'chill time'!
We also have a wraparound front deck which is just glorious to spend time on as the views really are constantly changing ensuring hours can be spent just admiring the different views.
An amazing feature - again in constant use when we are there - is the back porch area as its very, very sheltered. A super fab sun spot. We have a huge umbrella expanding to cover the 12 seater outdoor dining table which for us is a game changer as we can still have our meals and chill space when, and if, the wind is up.
We also have a ridiculously fantastic outdoor hot and cold shower which is a God send when coming in off the beach after a surf, swim or kiteboard.
As we are in the Deep South (as the locals call the South Peninsula) we are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out as there are many fabulous bars, restaurants, beaches and coffee shops all on our doorstep! CT center is an additional 40min drive away so everything really is very close.
When you arrive at our house our property manager will be there to let you in and show you around so that you understand how the alarm and fire systems work and where everything is. She is utterly lovely and will also be on hand should you need to contact anybody for the duration of your stay.
