SERENDIPITY is located in Surfside Beach SC
LOCATION: Our home is on North Ocean BLVD . This is a one lane “main” beach road with a speed limit of 25 . Serendipity is directly off the beach w/ no busy roads to cross (less than a minute walk to put your toes in the sand!
It is part of a 12 home complex with a shared pool in the middle. We are located in an “ocean front “ development as there are no streets to cross to get to and from the beach. Views :
WE have ocean views from two bedrooms, the kitchen and the deck off the kitchen!
Please see our photos for details on proximity to the beach.
Noise : The crashing ocean waves can be noisy at times, so if you don't want to hear the ocean, this may not be the house for you and your family :)
There is a golf cart/ public access path that runs along the side of the home on the other side of our fence. Surfside Beach strives to keep their small beach town a family-oriented community. There are noise ordinances to assist with keeping it that way.
We strive to keep our home in good condition and perform upgrades frequently. This past winter we have put on a new roof and new windows. We have newer flooring in bedrooms (no more carpeting ), some new tv’s, (new Ac/ heating unit/ water heater, sliding doors ;) some new furniture and mattress'.

Bonus for larger groups :
Please do not try and squeeze too many pp in our home. For larger groups, we provide the opportunity to rent our other ocean front ( without views) that sits directly behind this home.
Our lovely community pool ( shared with 11 other homes only) is in the center of the ocean front complex.
We do allow dogs BUT only with PRE-approval. SORRY but NO CATS :(
We also provide discounts to repeat renters and some smaller party guests.
LINENS: WE provide 1 towel and wash cloth for each listed guest, bed sheets and a hand towel for each bath room. WE DO NOT supply beach towels. WE are unable to clean or replenish towels during your stay ( unlike a hotel). IF you need additional supplies, you are welcome to bring your own or call our linen rental company who can help! :)
In an attempt to keep our rentals in good condition, and avoid misunderstandings, WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT SUBMIT A REQUEST TO BOOK OUR HOME until you have signed our RENTAL AGREEMENT AND WE have approved your stay ahead of time. We work hard to keep our guests happy, so our screening process is vital to us to ensure we are a good fit for all your vacation needs!
Unfortunately we are not able to control for unexpected pool or beach closures. This is A RARE occurrence, but If you feel that it would be problematic for your group, please let us know prior to attempting to book our beach home :)
All rental homes are very different. We provide different amenities than other homes. While most homes in the area do not stock some kitchen supplies like spices, coffee filters, and or items such as linens, cleaning supplies, or beach chairs, were do our best to keep items stocked order to make our guests feel more at home. Absolute perfection!

We do an annual vacation with our grown children and our grandchildren. This house and location is absolute perfection for our little tribe:) Being able to have daily option of a pool or a beach at such a close proximity was wonderful! The house was beautiful and felt like home. Surfside has a family atmosphere and the little town was walking distance from the house. Our children loved it so much that they asked that we next year! LOVE!

Amazing location right on the beach.

Our family had a fantastic experience. Property was perfect, right on the beach and within walking distance to a few nice bar and restaurants. I would highly recommend this location not only for the home itself but the community was very welcoming and extremely clean/safe family environment. We will certainly be back!

Was a great experience! Really nice property..very clean and in very good condition with all the nice touches! The location was excellent! The property owner was very easy to communicate with and extremely responsive. We would definitely consider staying there again!

Best vacation ever!

The house was beautiful! The property owner really help us out no matter what! She was super super sweet and easy to contact! We all loved being able to walk out and just be on the beach! Plus our little dog loved it too! We will for sure be back someday!

This home far exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious for a beach home and tastefully decorated. The grounds were beautiful, with plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the views. What a beautiful home! The pictures don’t do this house justice. It’s in a prime location with your own pathway to the beach and a private pool! The house is in an awesome location. Alicia is a WONDERFUL host! She couple not have been more accommodating! We would love to come back and stay!!!!

Perfect Location, Awesome Beach House!

Awesome beach house with amazing oceanfront views. Walking distance to several restaurants and bars and short drive to many others including Market Commons shops, restaurants, etc. Beach house was well appointed and very clean upon arrival (can't say that for all VRBO homes we have rented). Best of all was Alicia the owner. From booking (we booked last minute) to our departure Alicia made sure we had everything we needed. Her response time was excellent and she was very accommodating to our needs. I would HIGHLY recommend this beach home to family and friends!

Amazing beach front property.

Stayed here with some friends for a weekend in June. This place is amazing. Its steps from the beach and a few minutes drive from everything you need. The house sits right on the beach and has amazing views! The house itself is very clean from the kitchen to the bed room and living areas. The bathrooms are very clean as well. I can not say enough about this place, if you have a group outing this is the place to book. It really as all you need for a beach getaway. Do yourself a favor, don't stay in a hotel, book this place asap. I can't wait to go back! Also the owners are very nice and helpful, they always returned emails/calls within minutes.

Perfect in every way!

If you are looking for a great getaway to Surfside SC, this is your place. Centrally located, close to stores and restaurants. The home is perfect! Tastefully decorated, plenty of household supplies, small appliances etc. The host Alicia is lovely to work with, takes pride in the home and wants to make sure your visit meets your expectations. What we loved the most is the view off the decks. From the deck with our morning coffee the sunrise was spectacular!! From the two rooms with king sized beds you can see the ocean. We plan to stay here again. Thank you Alicia for making our visit so special. If I could give this place 10 stars I would.

Perfect Sunrises!

This property is gorgeous!!! The owner is amazing to work with. She has great pride in their home and treated us like we were friends that she cared about. The home is big enough for everyone to have some privacy but quaint enough to feel like home. We spent a week here with our college-aged kids and their friends. The weather was cool but we still enjoyed every minute of it. It’s a quick drive down the road to visit Myrtle Beach & to Murrell’s Inlet, where we had a ton of fun. The local hospitality was nothing but WONDERFUL, everyone always smiling and welcoming. Back at the property, we enjoyed fishing on our beach, walking to the pier, watching the dolphins from the deck and best of all, watching the sun rise on the deck with a hot cup of coffee.

Perfect beach location, high-standard ownership, many amenities

The other reviewers are correct that the owners of this beach rental are amazing. Thoroughly transparent communication and quick response to questions or needs. The beach location of the home is perfect. Just walk over the dune crossover and you're back home using the provided hose or shower to rinse off sandy feet (no waiting in line in the hot sun while others use the public rinse!). All the appliances are basically new - I write this because we stayed home some evenings to avoid traffic and had tots/baked beans with grilled burgers or seafood. Another plus on the location is it's an easy walk down to the Surfside pier (.25 mi) or Bubba's Fish Shack -- again, no need to face traffic on your vacation. We stayed on the beach all day and flip-flopped down the sidewalk for supper a couple of nights. One evening we took a 15 min. Uber ride to Myrtle Waves for 1/2-price family (movie) night, so there's several fun things to do near the home. There's plenty of room for sleeping. Even the two sofas are large (one is a sleeper sofa). We would definitely stay at this Surfside Beach home again!

Your search has ended because this beach house is a GEM!!

Location, location, location. Look no further if you want a perfect location near the beach. When I say near, I mean just steps away. There is a private walk on the side of the house with an entry at the foot of the walkway to the beach. Serendipity is set in a small community of similar rentals offering your a semi-private pool in the courtyard. The owner Alicia was amazing! The welcome packet she sent was not just directions for the home, but suggestions for activities and restaurants in the area. The access is very easy, it is not difficult to find. I am a fan of Surfside because the beaches tend to be less crowded and you can bring your personal beach things like tents and umbrellas. But if you don't want to lug those things...no worries! There is a well stocked closet with beach supplies for guest use. The kitchen was also very well stocked and there were sheets and towels for guest use rather than having to use a linen service (which I have seen at other places). There are two screened in porches, one on each floor, with outdoor furniture, which we used a lot- the breeze is perfect and you can see the beach and the sunset. There are also extra of everything like blankets and pillows and several of the beds have pull outs under them if you have smaller kids or just want to spread out. My suggestion would be to rent a golf cart, especially if you have teens that want to get out and explore, which mine did a lot! (We were a group of 8 ages 15-63). They also rented surf boards for the week which saw plenty of use. There is a cabinet full of board games in case it rains. We ALL had so much fun. Alicia- Thank you for the welcome basket and the fresh flowers. What a wonderful touch. I will definately stay again!!

Surfside beach has had a major updating! The location of this house is close to restaurants and beautiful homes and scenery. Perfect family atmosphere. We would definitely rent this house again.

Great place. Highly Recommend!

Very nice house just by the beach. Photos in VRBO doesn't do justice. Place was super clean when we arrived. Alicia really made us feel welcome with her reach-outs. Our kids and puppy had a great time. We had a little accident with an appliance and Alicia was very accommodating about that. Luckily we had the accidental damage protection. Overall great experience, even with the accident. Highly recommend.

Serendipity Surfside Gem

Can't say enough about our experience at Serendipity and the hospitality of our host, Alicia. Wonderful location in Surfside right on the ocean - it was wonderful waking up in the morning having coffee on the balcony with a beautiful view of the pristine beach. Surfside is convenient to both the attractions in Myrtle and great restaurants in Murrels Inlet. Also, great little restaurants within walking distance - Gracious Pig for barbecue and fresh seafood at Bubba's Fish Shack. Serendipity was the perfect house for our large family with 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths - we had a great experience and would recommend to anyone!

What an amazing Thanksgiving vacation!!!! This was a much needed family getaway and made perfect by Alicia, the owner. She reached out to me several times before and during our stay. I high recommend this beautiful home.

Basically oceanfront, great location

The house is partially set back behind the true oceanfront houses that have the 180 degree beach view, but this unit has a great oceanview from the back decks as well as from several bedrooms and the kitchen. The complex has a shared pool among the 8-10 houses in the complex. It was never crowded and perfect to cool off after the beach. My boys enjoyed it. The location in surfside is great. Walking distance to several restaurants around the (rebuilding) Surfside Pier. It was far enough away from the main drag of Myrtle Beach itself, but so close if we wanted to drive up there for other restaurants or entertainment. I got several compliments from family members on what a great find it was. Owner is great, communicative and sent a bunch of recommendations for the area for everything from dinner, to golf to entertainment options.

Perfect family vacation home!

We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end renting this home for our family vacation this year! The owner is a great communicator, and very helpful. The home was even better in person than in the pictures! Also the pool area, which our daughter prefers was perfectly lovely. We had a wonderful time!

Last minute quiet time

Looking to get away during a house renovation project and before the holiday crunch we came upon this Surfside gem! Loved the location. You can walk or bike to restaurants , 10 minutes to Murrells Inlet for the best seafood and steps to a quiet and non commercial beach. Alicia made the experience easy and we were so happy to find a nice pet friendly house. We agreed we would love to visit again.!! Exactly the restful, relaxing week we needed! Beautiful sunrise and sunsets on the porch. Just perfect!

Perfect Prescription For Stress Relief

Pandemic. Politics. My sisters and I needed a relaxing and fun beach escape. We found our stay at this safe, comfortable Surfside home was just the cure. We enjoyed the beautiful view and beach walks, steps from our door. The home was clean and safe and included abundant amenities to enhance our worry-free experience. The home owner was exceptionally responsive to questions and requests. She provided a list and reviews of local restaurants and points of interest that we found extremely helpful. We can’t wait to return!

Why they chose this property

Our beach home is a few steps to the beach. The semi private-like beach setting of our home is unlike most homes in the area where you can't find a spot to sit on the beach. Our development is well maintained with a family atmosphere. Some of our guests have told us staying with us was more like renting " a friends beach home" than being in a rental property. You can fish from the shore in front of the home.. Most of our guests love that they really don't need to leave the home the entire time :) We spend a great deal of time and money keeping our beach home to a standard higher than most rental homes in the area. The house also is close to shopping, activities and great restaurants. We provide our guests with some local activities and food recommendations once they decide to rent.

What makes this property unique

The home is updated with quality furnishings. Ocean views unlike most homes in the area The home is on a super family friendly beach and is much quieter than most sections of the beach ...Easy access to home from the highway and the airport. We treat our beach home like a home, not a rental. We are currently making many updates to the home now and will continue to do so to make our visitors comfortable and happy and returning year after year ;)Our house is less than 10 min from most Myrtle beach attractions, Garden City & Murrells inlet. We are a 18 min quick drive from Myrtle Beach Airport as well.
