About this property
Spacious villa in a small vacation community overlooking beautiful Marigot Bay
Located in a small vacation community on Marigot Bay's north side, our villa offers uninhibited views of Marigot Bay, our Caribbean garden, beach & restaurants just a few 100 ft away.
Minimum stay 7 nights
2-storey hillside property with queen bed, full kitchen, bath, living room, and shared pool. Access via a 2 min ferry, then steps or electric tramway; unsuitable for folks with mobility issues.
Beach, bay swimming, restaurants, and Dive Fair Helen minutes away.
The space
Our villa is part of Oasis Marigot Vacation Club, a community of 12 private villas on the north side of Marigot Bay set in a carefully preserved, Caribbean garden full of palm trees, hibiscus, bougainvillea and jasmine.
The spacious two storey villa offers a beautiful view across the Bay from a 8.5 by 22 ft veranda, where you can sit back, unwind and enjoy a sunset cocktail.
It’s the perfect place for relaxing and enjoying the gentle Caribbean breeze.
Property
The villa has one queen bedroom (with AC, at additional cost) and bathroom on the lower floor, which is also the entrance level; full kitchen, living room, and balcony on the upper floor.
Open the double French doors and shutters off the large living room or master bedroom and you see breathtaking, uninhibited views of the Bay from your covered veranda. This is where you will spend most of your time “in” the house, entertaining and dining.
The smart furnishings and pastel color scheme blend in with the local tropical surroundings to provide a pleasant and soothing environment for guests.
The open-air design takes advantage of the gentle, year-long breeze which offers natural air conditioning (although the house also has air conditioning as well as ceiling fans).
Things to do
The resort's Guest Services can help you with taxi rides to Castries and other towns, water taxis, restaurant reservations, sightseeing tours to Soufriere's drive-thru volcano or the Roseau Valley's rhythm and rum, shopping in Castries or at Rodney Bay, and, for active travelers, trips to the snorkelling beaches at Anse Cochon and Anse Chastenet, day sail tours to the Pitons or Pigeon Island, jungle biking, beach, and water sports.
Dive Fair Helen is just a few minutes away, near Doolittle's, for scuba diving, and there is a hiking trail to the rear of the property, which takes you to the summit on the Bay's north side where you can enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the bay.
Facilities
Shared community pool
Maid service twice a week to change sheets and linen, clean, and dispose of rubbish.
Grocery provisioning on request.
Porter service on arrival and departure
Arrival
Access to this hillside property is via the small Doolittle's ferry across the Bay from Marigot Marina, then either a walk up the steps or a ride up on the electric tram.
We can arrange a reliable taxi pickup at the government-regulated rate for when you arrive, either from Hewanorrah (UVF) or George F. L. Charles Airport (commonly known as Vigie Airport, SLU).
An Oasis porter will be waiting for you at the Marigot Marina dock to help you with your luggage, so long as you inform us about your arrival details.
If you hire a vehicle from the airport, bear in mind that there is no road access to our side of the bay. So, you will need to leave the vehicle in the Marina car park on the south side at no cost and then meet the porters by the ferry.
PLEASE NOTE: The resort's topography and the need to cross the Bay by a small ferry makes our house unsuitable for those with mobility issues..

About the host
Your host

My wife and I are a professional couple from the UK, who have owned at Oasis Marigot for 20 years and, except during COVID, visit the property every year. It's one of our favourite places where we spend quiet hours hanging out and taking in the wonderful views across Marigot Bay, often with a rum punch to hand.
Why they chose this property
We love the beautiful warm Caribbean weather with its mild trade winds and the friendly St Lucians round the Bay. Over the years, we have got to know quite a few locals, as well as the Oasis staff.
The fact that there are no roads on our side of the Bay as well as the dinky ferry that takes you to the other side add to the small resort's quiet, slow, atmosphere. You can do a lot of slacking in and around our Oasis house.
Miranda and Quincie are there in Guest Services to help with any enquiries, book restaurants or taxis (water or land), or special activities, for example, scuba diving or snorkeling at the Dive Fair Helen office just by the famous Doolittle's bar and restaurant down the steps or tram below.

What makes this property unique
Our house is not unique. It's one of 12 similar properties at Oasis Marigot. It's a really spacious, 2-storey house that is architecturally designed in the Caribbean style to maximise the enjoyment of a St Lucian vacation.
