2 bedroom, 2 bathroom dog friendly walk to beach - Y-Knot

Just north of historic downtown Florence is the peaceful, oceanside neighborhood of Heceta Beach and the location of the Y-Knot built in 2006. The Y-Knot is an 1100 square foot 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home with peeks of the ocean.. It's less than 2 blocks from the path that leads out to Heceta Beach and it has view of the ocean from the second floor. It has a lovely wrap around deck, with an outside table for dining in the afternoon sun. The large deck on the south is wind protected from our summer winds.

Perfect for 2 couples, this home has two bedrooms and two baths on separate floors. On the first floor you'll find the laundry room with full size washer & dryer. There is also a queen bedroom that has its own TV and a bath with shower. Upstairs is a king bedroom, also with it's own TV and a large walk in closet. You'll also find a loft for enjoying the view or watching TV. The kids will enjoy this space as well.

The great room with vaulted ceilings and tons of natural light, and with it's open floor plan no one in group will miss anything The sofa in this room is a hide-a-bed. A door out to the deck for easy outdoor dining. The kitchen is well-stocked with all the pots and pans necessary as well as a dishwasher and and electric range for your cooking needs! The sofa is a hide-a-bed.

Nice house, will stay again

Perfect spot for our family to relax. It's a little ways from town, but the quiet neighborhood is great. Close to the beach, 5 min walk to get there.

Cozy house

This house is cozy when you walk in and inviting! I have been here once before and just love it! Close enough to the beach and to town as well as great dining. Definitely planning on staying here again sometime!

Comfortable house, quiet neighborhood

We spent 2 weeks with 2 small dogs and escaped the Texas heat. The house is well stocked with towels and necessities to make a long stay easy. Great neighborhood for walking dogs and meeting the neighbors while listening to the surf. This was our first trip to Oregon and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring forests and the coastline in all its beauty. We will be returning next year.

Had a great time in Hecta Beach!

We had a great time at the Y-Knot. It was a perfect landing place as we were traveling back and forth from Eugene to watch some college baseball. Great house, clean, well appointed and so close to the beach. Our lab will never be the same now that he experienced playing in the ocean. Would definitely return!

Comfortable, clean, private

The house was cozy, clean, and we loved staying here. It has outside hot water available for easy and warm after beach clean up. The beds are very comfortable and the property is very quiet and private. It has nice views of trees and lots of hummingbirds. It's about a 5-10 min walk to the beach with multiple beach routes. The house has all cooking needs and lots of bath towels. Laundry in onsite and has all supplies. They even provide dog towels, toys, waste bags, and furniture covers. Definitely will stay again and recommend

Definitely coming back!

We LOVED our stay! Perfect for our family of 4 and Dog! Tips: 1) If you like a soft bed, bring a pad. The bed was not comfortabke for me, but it has been rated as comfortable by others, so its a personal thing. We have the costco pads on our beds at home and I'll bring it next time we come back! 2) Look at the welcome bunder for a map to the trail leading to the beach! Its a tunnel at the beginning that opens up to a few sandy hills. My kids LOVED it! 3) Driftwood shores is just down the road and its an easier walk to gain access to the beach if you arent up for the short hilly hike.

Wonderful ocean house

I cannot say enough about this gem of a house! The ocean breeze. The short walk to the beach through the hobbit trail. The incredibly comfortable king bed. The well stocked kitchen. The family friendly layout. I could go on and on. We have a 6 yr old and a 3 yr old and it was a perfect place for our family. We are already figuring out how we do a repeat next summer. HIGHLY recommend Y-Knot!!

Listen to those waves!

For our group it was great, although the stairs are steep! May be a consideration for elderly and toddlers. It is an easy walk to the beach. Parking at beach is limited for sure, so walking worked best for us, but we weren’t dragging sand toys or a picnic. The weather was perfect so we got to enjoy that great porch. Peaceful, cheery and you definitely can hear the waves! This home’s coastal decor was wonderful. The home also was well equipped in the kitchen. We walked the neighborhood daily but did not feel comfortable letting grandchildren walk alone. We’d definitely stay here again! May just be our new favorite place to stay in Florence.

Great Vacation Get-A-Way

What one word describes, relaxing, comfortable, cheery, and practical? We went to ride the dunes. That did not happen as mother nature gave the Pacific Northwest a snowstorm of the century. Never mind it though, we were snug as bugs in a rug.

Late arrivals

We had appointments come up so we were late arriving at our destination, it was dark and we had never been there before but it was so nice to enter Y-Knot with the porch and utility room lights on and it was nice and warm. So nice to be greeted this way. Y-Know was very clean and we had everything we needed for our week stay. Although it was very nice we probably would choose another location the next time as we are older and the stairs were a little too much for us. The manager Leslie is so considerate and easy to work with.

Do not expect a view, not even a PEEK.

There's an image in the listing of this house of a window with a view of the ocean. This window, and it's view, DOES NOT EXIST in this house. I imagine the picture was taken over 20 years ago, before tree growth. VERY misleading. Also, the "short walk" to the beach is over a mile. We would not have rented this house if it was advertised appropriately.

Lovely home

The property itself is lovely, really well maintained home, everything you could possibly need was there. Beds were comfortable and the bedding was of great quality. This makes a big difference for me when travelling. We loved that Netflix was already available so we could watch some of our favorite shows at night. Beach access was just a short distance away. My one "negative" is views from the house. Not a deal-breaker by any means but look from any window in the house and you are looking at neighboring homes. Other than that, for a smaller group, this home is excellent and I would highly recommend it.

Cute place!

This little place is comfortable, clean and spacious for 2 couples. The bedrooms were spacious and each had their own bath. This house was close to the beach and convenient. Although the backyard and deck are inviting, the weather was not permitting for this trip. Great location and property!
