About this property
Artizan's Den -1 bedroomed, Japandi, apartment in Bath UK
My place is really central and good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers and longer term stays. Achieved 4 Star and Gold for Quality in Tourism UK through Visit England. I have two apartments one above the other. The second apartment is called Artizan's Nest and is also listed. This apartment is newer to VRBO but receives 5 star reviews on all other platforms.
An urban dweller's delight, this cool Japandi–style one bedroom apartment puts you at the centre of exciting city events. This petite period 3rd-floor apartment above Artizan hairdressers has a chic scheme with herringbone wood effect flooring throughout and a contemporary kitchen and bathroom.
The space
My apartment is minimal in decor and decorated with calming colours. Absolutely everyone has been really pleased when I have shown them in as it is fresh, clean and tidy. We used an interior designer when we renovated the flat so everything is of a nice specification; from the quartz, German-engineered worktops to the Italian LED lighting.
The living space combines kitchen, dining and living areas in one cosy space with a large window, with shutters, onto the city below. A contemporary white fitted kitchen with white granite top has an induction 4 ring hob and electric oven, an undercounter fridge with freezer compartment, a small dishwasher, a microwave and a washing machine combined with dryer. There is a larger utility cupboard and a WiFi unit.
There is a sofa for 2 and a wall mounted Smart TV on the opposite wall for all catch-up TV Apps and a Netflix account. The sofa converts to a sofa-bed for 1. (If the sofa-bed is required please enquire as additional bed linen charges of £35 will apply. Please also note that the bathroom is ensuite to the main bedroom)
A round dining table to seat 4 is placed beside a large original sash window from where it’s fun to watch the lively scene of cocktail bars, restaurants, shops and night spots built into the surrounding grand Georgian terraces.
The comfortable and tranquil double bedroom at the back of the property has air conditioning. There is a 4’ 6” double bed, wardrobe and large chest of drawers. A chic compact contemporary tiled en-suite has a good sized shower, a hand basin with storage under and the WC is in a separate room next to the wardrobe.
Guest access
Guests can access the whole apartment.
Artizan's Den is a self-contained apartment on the second floor of a 300-year-old Georgian building. We will supply you with keys for the street door which is on George Street and you will climb the stairs to the apartment which has its front door and keys.
Interaction with guests
I will supply my mobile number but there is always someone on the floors below the apartment during the daytime who can help you.
Other things to note
The bathroom is en-suite so anyone using the sofabed will need to go through the main bedroom to use the bathroom.
We are so central that you do not need a car at all. You will be able to do everything in Bath on foot and the bus and rail links to other places are superb.

About the host
Hosted by Shelley Carr

I'm from Pembrokeshire but I came to Bath as an Art Student and ended up making my life here. I'm a designer by trade and now I run two apartments and the hair salon in our Georgian building, in central Bath. My husband is a Hair Stylist. We have two grown sons, a dog . We love to get out and about with the dog and we cycle around here too.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with Bath on my first visit when I came here with my family for a holiday. I was determined to find a uni place here and I did.
What makes this property unique
My two apartments are bijou and perfectly formed. They are right in the centre of Bath's main area for attractions, food and drink. They have had all their details considered and everything is purposefully placed in them so they feel calm, tranquil and perfect. They suit couples and lone travellers and I get great responses from my guests.
