PEACE & TRANQUILITY, Mtn.Cabin By A Stream Near A.T. And Roan Mtn State Park

Thank you for considering our mountain cabin as your vacation get-away! We find peace and tranquility there and we think you will find it as well! The cabin, just over 8 years old is still just like new and offers sleeping accommodations for up to 10. There are two bedrooms downstairs, one queen bed (new Tuft and Needle mattress), and one full bed (new mattress), and an upstairs loft area that has two single beds and one full bed (ALL have new Tuft and Needle mattresses!) Additionally, there is plenty of space to blow up two queen air mattresses if extra space is needed for kids or extra people. The fully equipped kitchen offers stainless steel appliances and a sitting area to view beautiful Roan Mountain or any wildlife that may be playing in the yard. The large living room area is equipped with a semi circular leather couch with recliners on both ends and a large ottoman. Rockers are available in this room, adding sitting space for large family gatherings. There is a large flat screen TV over the mantle, offering a movie like setting for those who enjoy movies or TV. The front porch of our cabin is equipped with a swing, two rockers and other porch chairs, offering an early morning getaway for readers and bird watchers while listening to the stream. This is a favorite spot for almost everyone who visits the cabin. The back porch of the cabin is a great spot to grill and entertain. The 10 acre property that the cabin sits on has a natural walking path for those who like to get exercise without having to leave the cabin to do this. Additionally, there is a natural fire pit just across the bridge by the creek where you and your family may enjoy smores and late night chats. The creek water is adjacent to the firepit and readily available to extinguish the fire/embers after use. All seasons are beautiful here, as nature puts on a display of brilliant colors depending on the time of year. We hope your stay at the cabin will be a time of refreshment and renewal.

Back for a Third Visit

I have just concluded my third visit to this beautiful property. The serenity and peacefulness of this incredible cabin keeps calling me back for another visit. Yes, there is no internet or cellular connectivity in this location, but that is just what you need to get off the grid and regain your sanity in these turbulent times. I fully expect I’ll be back for a fourth visit in the not too distant future. I strongly recommend a visit You won’t regret it.

Very Peaceful Oasis

Peace of Paradise

We really loved this property. It was so cozy and restful for our trip. The front porch swing was probably my favorite spot but the living room was also great for my entire family. A sweet bonus was family memorabilia sprinkled throughout the house. It was everything and more. Will definitely be returning!

Distressing Weekend in the Mtns

There was a collective 'Wow' when we drove onto the property; so beautiful with the stream, the woods, and the cabin! The cabin was very comfortable and clean. Things were laid out and labelled well. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. My wife and I so enjoyed the mornings with coffee on the front porch rocking chairs. Very relaxing. The communication with the owner was prompt, courteous and accommodating. We enjoyed watching a movie inside as well as outside with the projector. I highly recommend!

It was beautiful! It was so nice to be unconnected from social media for the weekend! We got to sit on the porch, have coffee and watch the deer! The cabin was beautiful, plenty of room. We will definitely be back!!!

We stayed in this beautiful cabin after hiking and had the best time. The cabin was clean and beautiful!!! We were able to unplug and enjoy our family while playing board games, Corn hole and grilling out. We will definitely be back!!

Little piece of heaven

Peace and Tranquility is the perfect name for this property. It is perfectly situated, surrounded by trees, a singing stream flowing out front, and a beautiful valley view of the mountains. Yet, it is just a few minutes drive to the town of Roan Mountain and the State Park. The cabin is well equipped with all you need except internet and cell service. We downloaded movies on our computer so that wasn’t too much trouble. This is truly a place to unplug and relax! Hope is a super host!

Perfect winter escape

My son and I got to spend the week together with friends and had an amazing time. The cabin is amazing, the creek is so relaxing and the camp fires were so much fun. The cabin was very clean and had more than enough room for all of us. We found everything we needed and there were even board games and movies available. We were visited by 8-10 large deer one night by the fire pit. The snow was great and we enjoyed snowball fights. Everything we needed was provided and we had no issues at all. Cant wait to return next year.

Snowy Wonderland

My family enjoyed our winter getaway to eastern TN/the NC highlands thanks in large part to this beautiful property! We went for snow, outside adventure, and cozy cups of hot chocolate by the fireplace and checked every box. The cabin is a real treat, made all the more wonderful by the spacious and fun property it sits on. Check it out, you'll love it!

Wonderful getaway

Amazing cabin,beautiful property! Communication was great. Cabin was super clean, had all the necessities, we even cooked a few meals and cooked on the grill. There is no Wi-Fi or cell service which was great!! Location was convenient to all the places we wanted to visit. Definitely would stay here again!

So Good I Came Back Again

This is the second time this year that I stayed at the Boon Cabin. It is absolutely a delightful place to get off the grid. There is no cellular service here or internet access. While that may seem undesireable, it is, in fact a blessing. You should definitely try it. The surroundings are beautiful. A great place to get back in touch with your inner self and nature. Hope and Wade are just great. We experienced a problem with the pilot llight going out for the fireplace gas logs. Hope and Wade jumped right on it and resolved the problem in a few hours. I cannot say enough about how wonderful they are. Anything you need, they will do all humanly possible to make you happy. Don't pass up an opportunity to stay at this wonderful place. I hope to return for a third time in the not-too-distant future.

Grandparents mountain trip with granddaughters

This place was amazing…..we have rented several cabins over the years but this one was far superior to any place we stayed previously. Everything was to perfection, Hope is a wonderful host. She was very responsive to any questions or needs and just a down right pleasure to deal with. We wanted a place to take out two granddaughters that would expose them to a simply more basic way of life and to experience nature at it finest. We discovered that and more…..Hope has missed nothing in her furnishings and supplying of this cabin. She clear takes a great deal of pride in her property and the decor, which includes a lot of her family history made this cabin seem like home right from the first minute we entered…..it just felt like home. Thank you so much for you hospitality Hope….we will certainly be returning!

Our late father had our cabin built in 2015. It was Daddy's goal that the property would be enjoyed by family and friends. Having grown up in Roan Mountain, moving away, then returning to vacation at the cabin and where we grew up, it has never been more clear that the beauty of Roan Mountain and the peace and tranquility found there is a gift from God and one that is not easily found in other parts of the world. Our cabin is a special place, surrounded by natural beauty that is hard to replicate. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
