Within easy travelling distance, Villereal, Issiegac, Monpazier and Monflanquin are all recommended. Shopping and supermarkets are a couple of miles away at Castillonés, as is the nearest boulangerie - the most essential ingredient to any family holiday.

To the north is a major wine production area. and a visit to the Chateau and wine museum / tasting centre at Monbazillac, about 5km from Bergerac airport is recommended. Also recommended is the nearby Chateau Bridoire - the 'Castle of Games 'with a maze and lots of family orientated games and activities. The area is gently rolling and crisscrossed with quiet country roads. ideal for exploring by foot or by bicycle and bicycle and e-bike hire is available locally. Markets are a popular attraction, and you will find markets locally on every day of the week - even Sundays. A very large Saturday market is held in the centre of Bergerac. In summer evening markets are also held.
