The Lodge is in Quantock hills, perfect for all sorts of country and woodland-related activities. For families there are several National trust places nearby, steam train journeys, several beaches within 30 mins drive and lots of woodland and hill walks and riding. Central Taunton is 15 mins away.
Quantocks are included in top 20 mountain bike trails of UK (Moutain Bike Rider).
Our family are in the house further down the road and I am available to help if required.
The closest village community shop is about 10 mins drive away and you can drive to a number of lovely pubs, 5-10 minutes away. Taunton or Bridgewater are both within easy drive, with large selection of major supermarkets and shopping facilities. Bristol is an easy hour drive and is our closest airport.
You can also arrange Ocado, Sainsburys, Tesco or Waitrose to deliver groceries to the property if you like, but you will need to be available to let them in.
Parking for two cars, can arrange for more if required. You will definitely need a car to access public spaces. The area is very popular for cycling and horse-riding, if that's your choice of getting around!
You're welcome to bring up to two dogs at no extra cost, but please let me know.
Dog owners - please make sure the garden is clear and do collect dog poop on your walks. Dogs to stay on the floor and not to use the furniture inside, or outside. Please do not leave the dogs on their own in the lodge. If your dogs are not safe around livestock, please keep them on leads, we are surrounded by farmland. Please always cover the hot tub when not in use.
Thank you for leaving the place clean.
Definitely no smoking, candles or open flames in the house, thank you
