Was looking for an easy weekend away and had never been to this area before. Cabin is in a quiet residential neighborhood at the end of a cul-de-sac. It was very spacious for the 4 of us and the owner was responsive to any questions/issues we had. There was no snow at the cabin when we went but you can get up to Pinos Mt. in 25 minutes which is at 8500' or so and we found snow up there.
We're from Scottsdale, AZ, we were in Lebec, CA, to participate in the "Tough Mudder" that was held there. The property itself was nice. I do have some feedback and info that would have appreciated before booking.
When renting a VRBO, I expect the property owner to provide items that I have at home. With that said...
This property lacked an adequate amount of bath towels (my husband and I had to share a towel and so did our friends). The bath mats, towels and a comforter were still in the dryer when we arrived. The kitchen wasn't restocked (many of spices were empty / no zip lock bags etc.. ) and lacked adequate cookware (we planned on baking a pasta dish and a cake, but the kitchen only had 1 metal cake pan). ALL the laundry detergent containers were empty, so we had to buy a small container on our way back from the TOUGH MUDDER (we didn't want to travel home with dirty clothes). Also, the bathrooms didn't have blowdryers and remotes were missing batteries. . (we watched the Olympics on our phone)
After traveling all day, the last thing any of us wanted to do was drive down the mountain, into town and try to purchase items that are normally provided with the vacation rental.
We would've appreciated a welcome letter, with suggestions of the owners favorite restaurants, any local attractions of area we should know about and detailed instructions of pertinent info ie; how to operate TV, AC units (if any), wifi info, etc etc. and check out info.
All in all the property was good. However, a little attention to details would have made it great!
Clean house, secluded location.
Kids enjoyed played foods all
Make sure you have the access key and internet password before you reach the location since we did not have cellphone signal to contact property manager

Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location
It was average at best
The owner seemed really nervous about our stay because of some other experience with her clients, extremely over priced and will not consider vrbo again....
Very clean property with lots of amenities. Driveway was very icy making it hard to walk and drive on. Owner was notified and responsive to getting the driveway cleared.
The house had everything one may need except maybe for the grill, otherwise the kitchen is fully stocked, plenty of linen and pillows. Beautiful neighborhood with gorgeous views!
Great family getaway! Our family of five wanted to get away and this home was perfect! Not too far from home but far enough that you feel like you can disconnect and really relax. Everything was super clean when we arrived. No contact check in was super easy. The house had everything we needed. If you bring all of your food you really don't have to leave much. Our kids loved the loft area. This is a great place for families that need a change of pace.
Great place - in the snow make sure you have chains and the right boots and gear. Slippery
Very nice place and quiet neighborhood nice time.

Great stay!
Beautiful location and great cabin! Plenty of space for our group of 7. We loved the hiking nearby, and we even got snow! (Had an ant problem (expected in a cabin) so be careful with leaving any food out)

Great Family Get Away
The cabin is in a quiet location, off the beaten path, surrounded by beautiful trees. The furnishings and beds were very nice. Fabulous views out windows.
Bring drinking water, as the water tastes funny.
Be prepared to go without internet connection, as it is hit and miss.
Went to Mount Pinos, Nordic Area for a great day of sledding.
Went to La Sierra Mexican Restaurant in Frazier. The food was well worth the drive.
