About this property

The Dell with wood fired hot tub at Moat Island

The cabin is in an area that we call The Dell surrounded by woodland and fruit trees. You have your own kitchen in here with an oven, fridge (with small freezer in the top), pots ‘n’ pans, glasses & cups, knives & forks, plates, bowels etc…. oh and hot water!! Wifi is also available for free. You have the use of our heated luxury loo & shower block just across the track and you have a compost loo behind the cabin too.

You are welcome to use the big fire pit in the dell & you also have a small fire bowl with a BBQ tripod just outside of the Cabin.

All you need to bring is food, drinks, towels & toiletries.

We also recommend bringing flip flops and dressing gowns for getting in and out of the hot tub!

Some wood will be provided to get the wood burner going inside the cabin and enough wood will be provided to get the hot-tub up to temperature. The hot-tub wood burner will be ready to light and it takes around two hours to heat up. More wood can be purchased on site.

It’s not always possible for us to light the hot-tub before your arrival but if you would like it lit please do ask and we’ll see what we can do closer to the time when you have an idea of time of arrival.

With wood a burning stove inside, fire pit outside and the use of our amazing Natural Swimming Pond. Located on the historic Haveringland Hall estate only 9 miles from Norwich and 17 miles to the beach in a stunning part of central north Norfolk between Aylsham and Reepham.

Inside is a luxury king size bed, a double futon sofa bed & a single futon sofa bed! All beds are made up with duvets and pillows with 100% cotton sheets and pillow cases.

Please bring your own torch. There are fairy lights around the site but it's still quite dark in places at night!

You have your own kitchen inside the cabin that quite well equipped. if there is anything missing you can find things over at the communal kitchen

Fire wood for the wood burners & fire pits can be purchased on site.

Each of our furnished glamping units can sleep up to 5 people with a King Size bed, a double futon sofa bed and a singe futon sofa bed inside. All bedding is provided and is all lovely 100% cotton and cosy feather down.

They all have thier own table and chairs outside as well as benches by your own private fire bowl with BBQ tripod.

The unfurnished (BYOB) tent is our cheapest option and is a blank canvas for you to bring your own things to create your own magical space within! This one sleeps upto six inside.

Moat Islands pièce de résistance is their naturally filtered swimming pond and jetty which everyone loves to jump in off to enjoy a peaceful sunset swim. The swimming zone is two meters deep with native plants in the shallow margins attracting dragonflies that flutter past you whilst you swim.
The enclosed ecosystem the pool creates is all part of the effort they have made to keep things eco so you and your loved ones can really connect with nature.

There are power showers and flushing loos housed in the super-luxury washrooms as well as the eco option of compost loos close by to where you are staying.

You also have the use of the top-spec camp kitchen featuring a range cooker & your own fridge freezer! The work surfaces are repurposed snooker table slates. They have created a unique glampsite steeped in history & wildlife waiting for you to reconnect with nature in comfort and style!

Fantastic place to have fun and relax!

The hot tub was perfect in the chilly evenings and then spending the heat of the day in the swimming pond was the best way to beat the heat! Cooked a great meal on the barbeque and spent the nights playing cards on the decking table. Can't wait to visit again and we're already checking our calendars for available dates to return!
