About this property
Craig-y-Don Lower Apartment, Llangrannog
Craig-y-Don Lower Apartment is a fantastic base for a family holiday in the wonderful village of LLangrannog, Ceredigion. There are superb views out to Cardigan Bay, and the sandy beaches and picturesque seaside is literally on the doorstep.
Set in an unrivalled location, the apartment is part of a building which was built as a holiday home for the Archdeacon of Llandovery in 1905, so Craig-y-Don has a long tradition of providing happy family holidays all year round. The outdoor terrace is the perfect place to enjoy a meal or drinks to enjoy the view or curl up with a book in the cosy lounge with its open fire.
Llangrannog village is only a short walk from the apartment, where you will find a shop, a pub, a cafe, a fish and chip shop and a pizza takeaway. The village is popular with families and surfers and is a great place to swim, kayak, and spot spectacular wildlife such as bottlenose dolphins, seals, and sea birds. At low tide, you can walk from the main beach to the sandy cove of Cilborth or take the steep cliff path from the village to the spectacular headland of Ynys Lochtyn, which has a hidden beach and a small island only accessible at low tide. Ceredigion Coast Path follows a 60-mile route along the Cardigan Bay coastline and passes directly through the village. The beautiful beaches of Penbryn or Tresaith are nearby and the stunning National Trust beach at Mwnt is further south.
Further along the coast visit popular villages such as New Quay from where you can go on a dolphin spotting boat trip or the Georgian town of Aberaeron with its brightly coloured houses. The historic town of Cardigan only 10 miles away has a castle, independent shops, cafes, a theatre/cinema, and supermarkets.
