About this property

1930’s CASITA - in the SWEET HEART of Santa Fe! (South Capital)

'CASA DITA' is an enchanting 1930's Adobe Casita in the Heart of Santa Fe! Location is really a plus for us at Casita Dita. You can walk to to the Plaza, Farmers Market/Railyard District and Canyon Road areas. The South Capital area where the casita is located is an established neighborhood with a great mix of architecture, old trees, small streets and residents.Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods and Kaune’s Neighborhood market are all within walking distance or a short 3 min. drive away.
The little casita has been maintained with loving attention and detail to comfort creating a warm and inviting turn-key experience. Enjoy sitting outside on the stone patio sipping your coffee in the sweet high desert air, or snuggled in front of the fire when winter comes.
For those looking for a respite from the BIG city or exploring "the oldest capital city " in the USA with all it's unique architecture, food, and culture, Santa Fe offers SO many options! Known for exceptional restaurants , Indian and Spanish markets, Ski Santa Fe Mountain, The World Class Santa Fe Opera and the Canyon Road Christmas Eve walk. All are experiences not to be missed. Considered one of the largest art markets in the country, Santa Fe offers exceptional gallery and museum experience.
* The history of the region is rich in culture and tradition. Day trips are a must. The Northern NM communities ( Taos, Chimayo, Truchas, Penasco, Mora) are a step back in time and very unique. The Native People of the region are still on their ancestral homelands and living in their Pueblos dotted along the Rio Grande. Pretty special.

Delightful bungalow!!

We SO enjoyed our time in Santa Fe at this charming little house! It had everything we needed, was central to the various parts of town (walkable to the Plaza), and the attentiveness and availability of Robin the host is the very best! We recommend this lovely casita MOST highly!

Cute and cozy house just a short walk from plaza

Casa Dita was the perfect home base for my partner and I to explore SF. It is just a short walk to downtown/the Plaza and an even closer walk to the Railyard district. We enjoyed relaxing with coffee on the patio in the mornings and found the house super comfortable. Robin was an amazing host - super communicative and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Amazing

Having your own little, Casita is amazing! Your own little place, no walls connected to others. And parking! A full on kitchen even laundry, which I couldn’t figure out, but that’s just user error. Adorable patio with bonus birdfeeder and birdbath for birdwatching.

Beautiful Casita in a Prime Location

I booked this for my 88 year old uncle who is very active and wanted a place that was walkable to downtown. He walked to breakfast every morning and to all the downtown activities during Indian Market, He walked to Canyon Road and spent the day visiting all the galleries. It was the perfect place in the perfect location. Robin was very communicative about any questions we had. Would definitely book again!

First time to Santa Fe and this casita was perfect location to all things we desired ; shopping, restaurants, museums . Robin was great with suggestions and always available to respond. We walked almost everywhere! Had a wonderful time . We didn’t use the kitchen except for toaster and coffee maker as we wanted to try so much !

Casita-Home Away from Home

Upon opening the door, the Casita graced us with a welcoming warmth and vibrancy of color and decor. The ambience made us feel as if we were in our little home away from home. The bed was extremely inviting and comfortable after a day of driving. Our host, Robin was cordial and lovely, making us feel welcome with information about the casita and the town of Santa Fe. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The Casita is centrally located to downtown and the scenic drives and hikes nearby. It was hard to leave this charming abode and the majestic beauty of Santa Fe.

Great location

The casita was a perfect fit for two people. It is located within walking distance of coffee shops as well as a 10 minute stroll to the plaza area. The host was excellent at keeping in touch and answering questions. If you are a couple or just on a quick getaway with a friend, this casita is well priced and the neighborhood is charming.

Location, location location

Loved the walkability of all the museums, and great foodie list left by our host. We were there during heat wave and a second air conditioner unit in the main living area would have made the visit a five star rating.

Perfect location to the best of Santa Fe

This lovely casita was an excellent location for walking anywhere in Santa Fe. It had everything we needed, including extras such as chocolates in a dish, a bottle of wine, specialty soaps, guidebooks, cds, and a bbq. We enjoyed walking into town and the railyard area, and having a lovely home-cooked meal outdoors on the patio.

PERFECT LOCATION!

We LOVED this property! It is located right in the heart of all things Santa Fe! Robin has done a great job with the decor - you truly get the Santa Fe "feel" at Casa Dita! The property is very quiet and has all the amenities of home. We will definitely rent again if we ever return to Santa Fe!

This property is in a great location. We were able to explore the city on foot .

Property was cozy and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Tiny kitchen so we didn’t really cook but fine for heating things up and cold food. Loved sitting on the patio and enjoying morning coffee or evening cocktails.

Cozy Casita Filled with Santa Fe Charm

We loved our stay at Casa Dita. The casita was perfectly cozy and the kiva fireplace added warmth and ambiance during chilly December evenings. The location was really great, with the plaza and Canyon Road within walking distance. The casita was very clean and full of lovely Southwestern charm. Robin, the owner, was amazingly quick to respond to any question, and offered wonderful suggestions for activities to help make sure our trip was enjoyable and memorable. Highly recommended, and we look forward to staying here again!

Wonderful cozy casita w/great walkability

Perfect location for walking to downtown sites. The casita is perfect size for two people & very comfortable for lounging & sleeping after a day out & about. The washer/dryer combo takes a very long time to dry so plan accordingly. The outside front area was nice to hang out on w/morning coffee & evening wine. We would definitely recommend this casita. Robin was great to work with planning our stay.

I love New Mexico! I have been fortunate to travel and live far and wide. I have come back to New Mexico 3 times living in 3 different places. I am enchanted by the history and the natural beauty. I have explored many aspects of Santa Fe. For years I came to Santa Fe to ski, enjoy the restaurants, museums and go to 10,000 Waves the exquisite Japanese spa up the ski Valley Road. I guess I need to admit that this is my home ..spiritual and physical.

Why they chose this property

Why not this property!? The second I saw it I fell in love with the charm and location. It seems to have all that I would require if I was coming to visit Santa Fe/New Mexico for the first time.I hope it charms you as well!

What makes this property unique

The South Capital allows for visitors to feel like they are a part of Santa Fe. It is an established neighborhood with old houses and trees and very walkable to so many great sites and restaurants. The casita itself has so much intrinsic charm.
