About this property
Treseissyllt Hafod, St Nicholas
Treseissyllt Hafod is a comfortable house within easy walking distance of the beach in a peaceful setting in the heart of the Pembrokeshire National Park. Located near the beaches of Aberbach and Abermawr, a private track leads down to the sea and the coast path making Treseissyllt Hafod a perfect base for both family and walking holidays. The beaches have lovely rock pools and swimming and Abermawr is well known for its surf.
Originally farm stables, the building has been superbly converted retaining many of the original features. It is an exceptionally light, spacious and comfortably furnished house which has excellent drying facilities. The modern, well equipped kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms are all on the ground floor and the large first floor sitting room with a cosy wood burning stove has marvellous views across unspoilt countryside towards Garn Fawr. Its large lawn and the field beyond provide plenty of outdoor space.
Tregwynt Woollen Mill and coffee shop are within walking distance and the pub at Mathry and shop at Square and Compass are 5 miles away. The shuttle buses which run along the coast road are an ideal way to explore the coast without getting in the car. Golf, kayaking, coasteering and many other activities are all available locally.
A short drive will take you to St. Davids with plenty of places to eat, good shopping, many galleries and the wonderful Cathedral and Bishop's Palace. The small harbour town of Fishguard is approximately 15 minutes away and there are also galleries and a great bookshop here. The Preseli Hills are within easy reach and very popular with walkers.
