On the perimeter of the Wolterton Park Estate you will find the Gate House, standing proudly as it has done for 120 years. Made available to guests following a sympathetic and skillful refurbishment, the property can now accommodate five guests looking to enjoy a peaceful retreat to enjoy the surrounding parkland, stunning countryside, or nearby Walpole Arms; followed by a dip in the wood-fired hot tub. A truly unique holiday experience awaits.
Equally attractive to couples and small family groups, The Gate House is comprised of three bedrooms and two bathrooms, all styled individually to the exceptional taste of the owners. Many of the rooms feature large, Georgian-style sash windows boasting wonderful views over the surrounding woods and parkland. The sunny aspect of the house really comes into its own, with rooms bathed in natural light. The house has been curated to offer guests a choice of rooms in which you can gather and relax, whether it be one of the two sitting rooms, the kitchen, or in the superb enclosed garden during the warmer months. A good night's sleep awaits, with Vispring luxury pocket sprung mattresses in all bedrooms.
The garden offers a mix of lawn, mature shrubs and flower beds. Here you will find wisteria, old English roses, flowering currant and hydrangea, all of which help to create an idyllic countryside retreat. Enjoy a sundowner in style or some stargazing in the soothing wood-fired hot tub, the perfect spot to appreciate those big skies overhead.. For those who wish to explore further afield, the 500 acres of Wolterton Park are accessed by simply walking out of the garden. The owners of the hall have given privileged access to guests of the estate, with very few caveats.
Offering a truly unique experience, with the option of concierge services, beauty treatments on-site and an award-winning chef available to cook for a special occasion, you are sure to feel refreshed and pampered during your stay. Set on a grand private estate with 150 acres of parkland and a lake, you can enjoy many lovely walks within the grounds with its abundance of natural flora and fauna. Wolterton Park offer canoeing on the lake, horse riding, archery and clay pigeon shooting all on-site; and tennis, golf and a rural Georgian pub are nearby.
