About this property
Gerlan, Llangrannog - Four Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 8
Gerlan is a large house with wonderful views only metres from the beach on the seafront of Llangrannog, a popular village on the beautiful Cardigan Bay coast. Most of the main rooms have a magnificent view of the beach and village.
Llangrannog village has safe sandy beaches, two cafes, a pub, a pizza takeaway and a shop, all within easy walking distance. Once you have arrived, you may not leave this idyllic holiday location for the rest of your stay. The main beach is popular with families, with rock pools to explore, room for games, and building sandcastles. Cilborth Beach is a sheltered bay accessible at low-tide and a lovely suntrap for relaxing and sunbathing. Paddleboarding, surfing, kayaking and swimming are favourite activities.
Ceredigion Coast Path passes directly through the village and walkers can enjoy miles of spectacular coastal scenery, sandy beaches, hidden coves, and magnificent cliffs. The resident bottlenose dolphins, seals, and a wide variety of seabirds can often be spotted from the path.
There is plenty to see and do just a little way from the village, and many other beaches and seaside villages to explore with pubs, cafes, and restaurants overlooking the sea.
To the north are the seaside towns of Aberaeron with pretty pastel-painted houses and Aberystwyth with a popular promenade and cliff railway. To the south, the market town of Cardigan has a restored castle, independent shops, and supermarkets. The beautiful Teifi valley, the Cambrian Mountains, and the Preseli Hills are all within easy reach.
