About this property
Penalltcych Farmhouse, Abercych
This handsome Grade II listed stone farmhouse, set on a working farm, has glorious panoramic countryside views and is set in a wonderfully secluded location in the Cych Valley in Pembrokeshire. The house, which dates from 1650, adjoins the owner's house and has been lovingly restored to offer contemporary comfort.
North Pembrokeshire has so much to offer. It is a haven for walkers, bird watchers and beach lovers alike; you will probably see red kites here and you may be lucky enough to spot dolphins and seals in Cardigan Bay, about half an hour away.
Hill walking in the Preseli Hills, mountain biking, horse riding, golf, boat trips, water sports and fishing are just some of the activities available here. Both the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and Cardigan Bay offer miles of coastal paths, sandy beaches and small rocky coves. For those with an interest in history, there are numerous ruins and relics, such as castles at Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan, standing stones at the ancient burial site of Pentre Ifan, and the Iron Age Hill Fort at Castell Henllys.
Newcastle Emlyn (4 miles) is a pretty little market town with amenities including pubs, cafes, independent shops, supermarkets and a leisure centre with a swimming pool.
