About this property
Uplands, Newport - Four Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 9
Large Victorian stone house in Newport, just 10 minutes walk from the sea and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path at the Parrog, next to a lane leading up to Carningli (Angel Mountain), with a large private garden. Quiet situation yet close to shops, pubs, restaurants and the main bus route.
Uplands combines the attractions of original Victorian features such as the cast iron fireplace in tiled surround (ornamental only, not in use), quarry tiled entrance hall and wooden floors with modern improvements such as a conservatory and ground floor double bedroom with wet room - ideal for guests with restricted mobility.
The 4 bedroom house is a comfortable one for several generations of the family to holiday together. The conservatory leads onto a large patio with table, chairs and barbecue, extending your living space in warm sunny weather. From the patio a flight of steps lead to a lawn with another table and chairs, a lovely spot for relaxing with a view of Newport Castle.
Newport (Trefdraeth) is popular with families, walkers and boat owners. With 4 pubs, a boat club and several restaurants and cafes, there is a wide choice of family friendly places to eat and drink. The beach is ideal for beach games and is backed by sand dunes and a golf course. Nearby the Iron Age Fort of Castell Henllys and the Dyfed Shire Horse farm provide interesting and enjoyable days out without having to venture too far.
