Great condo owner and location, challenges with maintenance and with the larger property manager
I am type A when it comes to vacations. I pay more to maximize my relaxing time. I would like to give this property a higher rating, but I can't do so.Laura, the owner is wonderful. She was responsive to questions. I would say she is a 10/10.Property maintenance (dishwasher not working) and the washing machine were issues. Though we knew about the latter, it remained broken, and we were told about the laundromat outside the building. A better recovery would have been to get a pick-up and drop-off service. Anything else eats up precious vacation time for busy professionals.The property management has a rule that you must wear a bracelet while on the property. They charged us a fine of 1,000 pesos to replace the bracelets. Though there are better technologies available, they rely on plasticated paper. I found it to be abrasive on my skin and triggered allergies (itchiness).I would have considered another place if I had known about the property management rules before booking. A great place can be ruined by bad management. They make you sign an agreement but do not provide you with a copy. They then quote the rules which are forgotten by end of day one. I will not be returning to this property, unless there are changes in the processes as well as better maintenance of equipment.I recommend this place only if Puerto Vallarta is fully booked and has nothing else to offer.
