About this property
Comfortable home from home for couples who enjoy privacy and a bit more comfort
Welcome to La Terrasse., your home from home holiday retreat which situated in the quaint and pretty village of Le Vivier in the Eastern Pyrenees.
From the moment you enter the house you will see that it has been furnished to a good standard and offers couples that little bit more in comfort and space.
When you come in to the house you’ll also see immediately how characterful it is, a lovely mix of the old stone house with modern touches.
The stairs lead up to the bedroom and shower room. You’ll have a comfortable double bed with night tables and a wardrobe, next door is your shower room with shower, wash basin, toilet and washing machine. Up the stairs to the next floor and the lovely living room which has a settee and 2 arm chairs, enough space for anyone to stretch out and relax. In here you have a television which uses a fire stick so you can watch films and normally some tv channels, there’s an echo dot so you can enjoy music and news, you can also ask Alexa to tell you what the weather is doing. If you are an early or late season visitor there’s a pellet burner for heating and electric radiators in each room.
On the top floor is the lovely kitchen and dining area which leads out to the terrace, facing south and very private, here you can relax and enjoy the view, you’ll be enchanted by the nightly display from the swallows and swifts while you sit and relax.
The kitchen is well equipped for your holiday needs. It has a ceramic hob, electric oven, fridge freezer and plenty cutlery, crockery and utensils. All in all, La Terrasse is a great holiday base, you can be out exploring this beautiful region then come ‘home’. The Fenouilledes region is a wine region, whatever your taste or budget I’m sure you’ll find a wine to enjoy. If you enjoy a bit of history there are 3 Cathare castles to visit, perched up high on the rocks their condition will amaze you as you wander round,. If you want a bit of adrenaline you can try white water rafting, 20 minutes from the house. You like wandering around open air markets ? There’s several to choose from, Saturday in St Paul and Quillan, Tuesday in Prades, Sunday in Esperaza, Port Leucate and Collioure. The beaches of Le Barcares, Port Leucate are the nearest but you can always spend the wholeday away and go further a field. If you decide that all you want to do is stay on the roof terrace and chill, that’s great too, Everything is ready for you, just arrive, unpack and enjoy but first you’ll need to decide on whether you will stay one or two weeks.
