8/10 Good

We stay in Bakewell reguarly but this was the first time in this cottage.

We stay in Bakewell reguarly but this was the first time in this cottage. Overall the cottage is lovely with quite a few quirks that add character. Everything was good on arrival, except we could not find the parking permit. Eventually we found it in the post box. Even though we stayed over the summer holidays, permit parking was widely available and we didn't have any issues. The location is great, 5 mins walk into town. Following on from other reviews, the owners have made some improvements. Cleaning supplies (washing up liquid etc) was available. Only things missing were dishwasher tablets and oven gloves would have been handy too. The bedroom is very spacious with ample storage. The kitchen was nice with lovely views although it is a tight space. Living room was nice too. Bathroom is 'classic' and probably could do with updating. Only other things to mention is the garden area which is a bench next to the bin storage and WIFI was pretty poor.I don't want to be too negative as we had a great week, but in all honesty, we probably wouldn't stay there again.
