The Cygnet at The Swan Inn, is a handcrafted wooded Shepherd’s hut with an authentic feel resting in its own private garden behind The Swan Inn pub. The Swan Inn is a historic 14th century coaching house once accommodating a young Dick Turpin whilst on his travels. Located in a quaint village not far from Craven Arms, and reputedly the oldest pub in Shropshire.
The Cygnet is hidden in the grounds and with its own garden and it’s an ideal spot for a romantic getaway. Built next to a huge willow tree, it blends the peace of nature with the comforts of everyday living. Picture skilfully crafted interiors and lovely rural views, alongside mains electricity and hot running water. Beyond its classic stable door lies a minimalist yet comfy home that is modern but traditional yet understated. There’s a roaring fire pit for those winter evenings that doubles as a barbecue for al fresco dining in the summer. The summer house is a great addition for those cooler evenings but when you still want to be outside. A comfy double bed is perfect for an early night with fluffy duvets and plush pillows. A contemporary en-suite allows you to stay cosy in your hut, waking in the morning to a steaming, hot shower.
From the Cygnet, you can head out to explore the nearby attractions but before you do enjoy a continental breakfast basket. This can be arranged at an additional cost with the owner. Or guests are welcome to dine at The Swan Inn with a 10% discount on food. (Please note The Swan Inn is not open on a Monday or Tuesday).
The surrounding area is a great for outdoor enthusiasts, and so many lovely walks from the doorstep. With fantastic views of Corvedale and the Clee Hills beyond, it’s a wonderful place to get lost in nature. Ludlow is only 10 miles away, renowned for its historic architecture, vibrant market scene, and culinary delights.
