About this property
Y Grogen - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 4
Surrounded by breath-taking scenery (AONB, SSI and National Trust) and with stunning sea views, this charming property offers a real getaway from busy everyday life - you will feel like you are at the end of the world. The property nestles in to the surrounding valley and benefits from the relaxing sound of the adjacent stream running on to the sea. The coastal path passing the front of the property offers a short five minute walk, down the steps, onto Aberdaron bay beach or a longer scenic walk to the end of the peninsula passing through the renowned National Trust gem, Porth Meudwy, a pristine sandy cove - home to several fishing boats and the ferry to the mystical Bardsey Island at the end of the peninsula, an ancient pilgrimage site with a rich history and beautiful wildlife.
Y Grogen is an ideal base for exploring the Llŷn Peninsula and the perfect retreat for families or friends. For those inclined towards heritage and serenity, a short drive leads to the historic splendour of the National Trust's Plas yn Rhiw manor house and its meticulously landscaped gardens (5 miles). A 20-minute drive along the north coast takes you to Porth Dinlaen and the famous pub on the beach and just above that the amazing drive into Nant Gwyrtheyrn, the historic Welsh Language Centre.
A few steps lead you to the front door of this beautiful property where the you will find a bright and airy living space. The expansive folding sliding doors invite natural light to flood the main living area whilst offering breath-taking views of Seagull Islands. The open-plan layout seamlessly connects a modern, fully-equipped kitchen with a farmhouse dining table comfortably seating four guests. In the inviting lounge area, sink into the plush leather settee and relax whilst enjoying the views. Retreat to two beautifully appointed bedrooms, including a cosy double room and a versatile bunk room. The well-appointed bathroom features a walk in shower, providing a refreshing start or a relaxing end to your day of exploration and relaxation.
