About this property

Common View - One Bedroom House, Sleeps 2

This stylish character cottage is located in the pretty, rural village of Syderstone, and invites couples and their dog to unwind surrounded by Norfolk charm. With the popular village of Burnham Market just 6 miles away and the county’s sandy coastline 10 miles away, guests have plenty of options when it comes to days out nearby. The nearest town is Fakenham (5 miles) with its monthly farmer's market, independent shops, supermarkets, pubs, and cafes. Syderstone Common, a nature reserve owned by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust, is a lovely place to walk and give your furry friend a good run out. Houghton Hall and Gardens is just over 4 miles away with its contemporary sculptures, famous exhibitions and the largest private collection of model soldiers in the world. RSPB Snettisham and Pensthorpe Natural Park are also close by, while Sandringham Estate is only 10 miles away. Head to Blakeney (17 miles) and hop on a boat to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve where you’re likely to spot some local seal!
Upon entering this delightful cottage there is a convenient area to store those sandy items and muddy boots. This leads through into the open-plan kitchen/diner, which is equipped with everything you need to whip up a delicious meal to enjoy at the nearby dining table as you plan the next day’s adventure. At the end of the kitchen are wide sliding doors that open out onto the garden – a beautiful spot in the warmer months when the sun is shining. At the front of this welcoming home is a cosy lounge with a wood burner to warm those toes after coast and country hikes. A cloakroom completes the ground floor. Heading up the traditional staircase, you’ll find the king-size bedroom dressed in lovely linens with a quality mattress, so you will undoubtedly enjoy a good night’s sleep and be fresh for the day ahead. Off the bedroom is a dressing room with a small chair for relaxing in with a good book. Completing the property’s interior is a well-appointed shower room with a walk-in shower.
If you wish to dine alfresco, the garden offers a beautiful, sun-drenched patio and raised shingle area. Spend early mornings with a brew listening to the bird song , and gaze up at the stars after al fresco evening meals.
