About this property
Lovely Villa near Unawatuna Beach.
The Coconut Treehouse is in a quiet spot nestled in a garden of coconut trees, yet is only a 5 minute drive to beautiful beaches and provides easy access to the historic Galle Fort. We built this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house in 2014 as a retreat for our family when returning home to Sri Lanka for visits with family and friends. It is an antique-style home with beautiful, high wooden ceilings and an open floor plan.
The garden is spacious, surrounding the house with trees and plants that are not only beautiful, but also provide an easy chance to see some of the amazing wildlife here. We regularly see monkeys (purple-faced leaf monkeys) and often see iguanas. Bright blue kingfisher birds along with an occasional green parrot or wild peacock can also be seen within the garden.
You will have access to the entire house (3 bedrooms, 2 baths, large common room for relaxing and eating, kitchen, front and back porches). The garden is also yours to enjoy. There are ceiling fans in every room and on the porches as well. Each bed has a mosquito net. We also have a water cooler for fresh drinking water at the house
Coconut Treehouse is our vacation home, so we will most likely not be in the area during your stay. We have an onsite property caretaker, however, who will be available to help you enjoy your stay. The entrance for the caretaker's space is separate from the home space. The caretaker provides breakfast, maintains the garden, does basic house cleaning, and launders bed linens and bath towels. The caretaker can call a tuk tuk driver for you and advise you about nearby grocery stores or other practical information.
***We offer 1 complimentary roundtrip tuk tuk ride each day to Unawatuna or Dalawella Beaches*** Also, for your convenience, in addition to bed linens and bath towels (laundered 1x weekly), we provide bathroom tissue and soap as well as dish soap. We also provide jugs for the water cooler to provide fresh drinking water at the house. You may use the washing machine for free with detergent that you have purchased.
We can also arrange a comfortable vehicle to pick you up from the airport or drop off at the airport.

Why they chose this property
We brought this land 2014 and built this traditional Sri Lankan house. Our property is unique because it's located only 5 minutes from the beach and also in a quite neighborhood where local people live, so you will feel living in true Sri Lankan village.
What makes this property unique
Our property is surrounded by nature, such as you can see group of monkeys come in the evening and in the morning snaking on fresh bananas and coconut. Also you can see hundred of Bats flying over the house after sun go down in the evening.
There is a small creek in the back where Water Monitor Lizard hangs out. You can see lots of colorful butterflies in the day time.
Sometimes wild peacocks come rest in our roof top also lots of unique birds hangs on our trees.
Our house is designed for families with open floor plan. Our master bed room has 1 king bed and 1 queen bed. Family of 4-5 can sleep in master bedroom very comfortably.
