About this property
Thatched roundhouse in Somerset woodland; off-grid relaxation & campfire cooking
Our traditional thatched roundhouse is hidden away in a woodland glade, full of beautiful flora, fauna and wildlife. You’re welcome to explore our 3 acres of woodland and open field; we’ve even set up some benches and stargazing points for you to discover!
The roundhouse and woodland kitchen have been hand crafted by Tom Dunbar, a master thatcher and craftsman. Nestled in a clearing, this secret hideaway is the most beautiful, peaceful place to relax. It’s an ideal off-grid experience for anyone seeking the peace of a digital detox or couples on a romantic adventure.
Breakfast is included; the woodland kitchen will be stocked with lovely things, such as homemade bread, a choice of cereals and local apple juice. During your stay you will have exclusive use of the thatched roundhouse, woodland kitchen, campfire, picnic area and close-by compost toilet.
Try some rustic cooking on the campfire, or the woodland kitchen has a gas camping stove with a grill. We even provide the marshmallows for you to toast!
