It's just a 5-minute drive or a 30-minute walk to the vibrant town of Kendal, though please note, the rural road lacks a pavement, so driving is recommended.

This property uniquely combines a spacious main house with a connected annexe, offering guests both privacy and the option to integrate the living spaces via a kitchen door. It's perfect for larger groups or families seeking both shared experiences and individual privacy.

The neighbourhood is in a very safe and rural area in the Lake District National Park.

Several renowned, gourmet country pubs are a short drive away. The beautiful and quiet Lyth Valley can accessed for countryside walks right from the front door.

The nearby tourist areas of Bowness and her neighbour Windermere, have a bustling high street providing plenty of amenities from every day shopping and supermarkets, health centre and a broad variety of shops, high quality restaurants, cafes and other amenities, including a seasonal theatre, cinema, golf club, motorboat and yacht club.

Kendal, a vibrant market town is a 5 minute drive from the property and has a wide selection of shops, large supermarkets and train and bus station.

Buses are available to all areas of the Lake District from Kendal. There is a train station in Kendal, 5 minutes drive away for trains to all parts of the country. Taxis are readily available. Guests can also enjoy leisure boat trips along Windermere Lake (20 mins drive) or hire a motor or rowing boat.

Secluded Getaway: Sylvan Wood combines rural charm with modern comforts. Car recommended.

Shepherd’s Hut on Grounds: A second holiday let, let out separately to the min house.

Lodge with Elderly Resident: The owner’s elderly mother (97 years old) resides in a lodge at the back. Family visits to the elderly resident may bring extra vehicles to the shared drive.
Up to 2 small dogs are welcome. Please keep your furry friend off the furniture.

Please be aware some of the duvets are down.
