About this property
The Cider Press at Deep Filling Farm, romantic retreat in the Forest of Dean
Nestled by a charming stream, this one-bedroom cottage is a peaceful and charming getaway. It features a log-burning stove, dishwasher, washer dryer and elegant decor.
With a wood burning hot tub, you can relax and in the evenings watch the stars above the canopy of the trees. A truly idyllic escape with luxurious high-quality fittings, a very comfortable bed. A truly picturesque and peaceful retreat. Located between Gloucester on Ross-on-Wye, and 25 mins from Cheltenham.
The cottage was a former Cider Press and was converted in 2004, and is now used as a holiday let on the outskirts of the beautiful Forest of Dean. There are many woodland walks nearby, and the mystical May Hill is a spectacular walk, either leaving from the cottage or you can park at the foot of the hill.
We are lucky to have lots of wildlife in our own woodland, lots of deer, birds etc. We can signpost you to where and when you are likely to spot them from observation sites.
We created this place to be a natural haven, to melt the stresses of modern living and create a peaceful place surrounded by natural beauty. We hope you love it as much as we do.

Chrissie and Dave are both British but have travelled extensively and lived overseas. We believe that travel really does broaden the mind and satisfies an adventurous spirit. Chrissie grew up in her parent bed and breakfast business and knows whats important to travellers from both sides of the operation. Doing this has been Chrissie and Dave's dream for many years, once they returned to the UK.
Why they chose this property
This area is easily accessible to both Regency Cheltenham with it's elegant bars and restaurants, high end shops and beautiful parks, and Gloucester, with it's quays, lively bars and restaurants. We're only 8 miles from Ross on Wye with its charming town and tea shops.
Without doubt though the best thing about this area, is this area itself, the woods, the walks, the streams, the wildlife. stresses and strains just melt away, I am still pinching myself that we live here, its the most perfect place I have ever lived.

What makes this property unique
Our property is a multi building estate in 10 acres of private woodland with two watercourses and a stunning millpond. We are so lucky to have wildlife come and visit, the most wonderful neighbours and two shops in the village, as well as a good local village pub, as well as some really good restaurants nearby.
