A really wonderful cottage

The accommodation is beautifully presented, finished to a really high standard. A few lovely little quirks in the property give it real character. Very close to the centre of Keswick, this is the ideal location if venturing into town or heading off to the hills. We particularly loved the old railway line from Keswick to Threlkeld, with breathtaking scenery and great for a family cycle without worrying about busy roads, particularly with two children racing off ahead. Overall a lovely few days in the Lakes, with an immaculate base to venture out from.

A Wonderful Relaxing Getaway

The cottage provides a perfect escape to relax and unwind. The Location of the cottage couldn't be better to explore Keswick and beyond. The bus service is easy to use and it is lovely to come back to a clean cosy space after a day of adventures. We were able to enjoy walking around the lake and warm up by the fire in the evening. The cottage has everything you'd need for a comfortable stay, we will be back!

Perfect Stay!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Anley Cottage, and I must say, it was the perfect retreat for a relaxing getaway. Being first-time visitors to Keswick, we were pleasantly surprised by everything the town had to offer. One standout experience was the cinema—a charming, old-style venue that truly added to the charm of the area. The location of the cottage couldn’t have been better, with beautiful walks right on the doorstep. We managed to conquer Catbells and also stumbled upon Surprise Point, on the way to Watendlath Bothy. The views were incredible, and the peaceful surroundings made it an unforgettable experience. If you’re doing the circular walk around Derwentwater, I highly recommend stopping at The Mary Mount for lunch, or even the Lingholm Kitchen & Walled Garden—it’s the perfect spot to unwind after a scenic walk. It was great to be able to return to a cosy cottage after a day out exploring the area. Overall, our stay was nothing short of amazing, and we’re already planning our next visit to Anley Cottage. Highly recommended!

Perfect retreat for an active holiday

We had an amazing stay at this lovely cottage! It truly has everything you need for a fantastic getaway. The location is perfect, offering access to a variety of activities like running, walking and cycling. The owners have even installed a bike rack which made it super easy to store our bikes — a great idea! Everything you need is right on your doorstep, and with the car parked, we could easily explore the area on foot or by bus. We will definitely be back and on the list next time will be lake swimming and renting a rowing boat.

Quaint cottage with beautiful furnishings.

We have stayed here twice for long weekends in the lakes. This cottage offers all you could need, comfortable beds and a beautiful living area with a wood burning stove. Short walking distance to all amenities in Keswick including restaurants and bars with great access to hikes around Derwent water. Highly recommend.

Warm, Cosy Cottage Nestled In Keswick

Anley Cottage was just what we needed when we decided to spend some time in the Lake District. Located near the centre of Keswick, it offers excellent transport links to popular spots like Grasmere, Ambleside, and Windermere, with frequent bus services. It's also a short walk to Derwentwater. Inside, the cottage was clean and cosy, featuring a well-equipped kitchen, dining area and a living space with a lovely log burner. I couldn't recommend this place enough.
