Bankside Cottage is a beautiful three-bedroom, two-bathroom dorma bungalow located close to Saltburn Square and all of the town's amenities. Lovingly designed with modern interiors and with a delightful south-facing garden, Bankside Cottage will provide a stay to remember in Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the North Yorkshire coast.
The Space:
Bankside Cottage is a stunning semi-detached holiday let carefully curated with warmth and comfort in mind. Boasting a south facing outdoor space, a bright and airy open plan kitchen, living and dining area, separate living room, plus three bedrooms, there is ample space for the whole family.
On the ground floor, you’ll find two bedrooms, a family bathroom, living area and kitchen-diner. The first bedroom features a king-sized bed while the second bedroom includes twin single beds, making it great for children. Both bedrooms have a tranquil feel and premium bed linens to ensure a comfortable night's sleep.
Benefiting from a spacious layout, the kitchen space is perfect for socialising. Ultra stylish, the kitchen features cream cabinets and smooth wooden worktops. Amenities include an oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge freezer and dishwasher so Bankside Cottage is fully equipped for self-catering stays. Enjoy meals with your loved ones at the dining area which consists of a wooden dining table and modern, matching chairs. In the summer, open the sliding glass doors and let the warm breeze drift in as you prepare a home cooked meal. You can also cosy up on the sofa watching your favourite shows on the flat screen TV.
The family bathroom has white tiles complemented with silver, high shine fittings. Modern and clean, there is a bathtub with an overhead shower, a WC and a contemporary basin with vanity unit.
At the rear of the property, there is outdoor space which boasts a large dining table and chairs, the ideal spot for alfresco dining - a real treat in Saltburn. Start your day with a coffee in the sunshine or enjoy a glass of bubbly as the evening draws in in this lovely sunny garden with contemporary outdoor furniture; the ideal spot for alfresco dining.
Take the stairs up to the first floor and you’ll find the wonderful third bedroom. The space includes a comfortable king-size bed and ensuite shower room.

The Neighborhood:
The delightful coastal town Saltburn-by-the-Sea bestows plenty of Victorian charm and thrills. From the water balanced cliff lifts to the last remaining pier in Yorkshire, Saltburn promises its visitors an authentic seaside experience!
There’s plenty to entertain too as the town has an up-and-coming arts scene, lots of restaurants and plenty of daring water sports to try.
After visiting Saltburn-by-the-Sea, you may want to head to the nearby town of Whitby. This charming seaside town is famous for its association with Bram Stoker‘s Dracula and boasts a stunning ruined Abbey that sits atop a cliff overlooking the sea. Take a stroll along the cobbled streets and enjoy some fish and chips while taking in the picturesque views.
Another great option is to visit the North York Moors National Park, which is just a short drive from Saltburn-by-the-Sea. This vast expanse of heather moorland and ancient woodland is home to a variety of wildlife, including red deer and rare birds of prey. Take a hike along one of the many trails and enjoy the stunning scenery or visit one of the charming villages that dot the landscape, such as Helmsley or Goathland which was used as a filming location for the TV series, Heartbeat.
Other locations worth a visit in North East Yorkshire include Middlesbrough and Redcar. Inland, you’ll find terrific towns like Yarm and Stokesley.
Getting Around:
There is a train station in Saltburn-by-the-Sea on the Middlesbrough line, on which this is the final stop, making it accessible for those travelling by rail. From Saltburn, direct routes can also be found to Bishop Auckland, Leeds, Manchester and York.
Specifically, you’ll change at Darlington if travelling on the East Coast Mainline, to take the Middlesbrough line, and you may change at Middlesbrough too, but it’s a scenic route if taken during the day as it travels down the coast from Redcar, to Marske-by-the-Sea, and finally to Saltburn, the last stop.
Several bus routes can be found operating in Saltburn offering direct access to Loftus, Middlesbrough, Redcar, Skelton-in-Cleveland and Whitby.
