This cabin and its location are beautiful. When I get out of the car, I'm struck with silence. No noise, just the sound of falling leaves. And the smell of the woods.
We love to hike and this cabin is in the middle of great hiking. The spectacular view from the balcony is Grandfather Mtn; one of favorite places to hike. The cabin had everything we wanted after a rigorous day. We enjoyed watching hummingbirds from the deck and the cozy fireplace. The sunrises in the mornings were amazing. We like to cook at home and the kitchen had everything we needed. After a week we felt like it was home.
I've stayed at this cabin several times. I walked into the cabin and the room was flooded with gold -- from a grove of Sasafras trees off the deck, the leaves were bright yellow. Like magic!
My husband and I love the location of this house. Trailheads to hike the Linville Gorge are just out the backdoor! Very comfortable, well stocked, and well maintained home!
My Wife, Son and I had a great stay at this cabin. We came to hike the Linville Gorge area and the location was perfect. The place was just as described, and would definitely recommend…
We had another great stay at this cabin. We were in the middle of a two week trip to the area, after several nights in Blowing Rock we spent 4 nights at this cabin. We loved the peace and quiet. The cabin had everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped and we had all our meals at the cabin. We loved the screened porch dining area.
We spent our days relaxing at the cabin, going for long walks, and enjoying each other's company.
Once again, at the end of our stay we were reluctant to leave.
The only issue with this cabin that someone might need to take into consideration is that the bedrooms and full bathroom are downstairs. There is a half bath on the main floor, but the only shower/tub is downstairs. This is not a problem for us, but might be for someone with mobility issues.
The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of towels, etc.
This place is a 10/10 for us, and we look forward to returning for a 3rd visit someday.
This is our third time staying at this property. It has everything we need to relax and create memories after a day of enjoying the beautiful surroundings. One of our favorite places on earth.
Our vacation was wonderful. Beautiful cabin in an excellent location. Everything we could have wanted was available. Location was perfect; we visited Linville Caverns and Linville Falls. Check-in was easy and Bobbie was a pleasure to work with. Definitely great family memories.
Exactly what we hoped the experience would be! The pictures really don't do it justice. We look forward to our next visit already. Only change... Stay more than 2 nights!
We had a great time at the cabin, everything was very clean and the vibe fit perfectly with the mountainous surroundings. It is in a perfect location for any activities at the Linville gorge!
Pictures and description accurate for this property. Good location. Clean and comfortable
Well organized renting process. Good instructions for check in and house operations. Excellent communication with owner.

Why they chose this property
It's like camp. That's the best way we can describe it. Years and years of hiking, campfires, cookouts, screened porch dinners, swimming in rivers and creeks and waterfalls, and just hanging out.
