A beautiful, luxurious, fisherman’s cottage with stunning views across the Moray Firth. Two minutes walk from the beaches of historic Burghead, Emerald Cottage is perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts alike.. Ground Floor:

Enjoying a prime position within the historic fishing village of Burghead, Emerald Cottage commands spectacular views over the Moray Firth and Burghead bay. This beautifully presented cottage has been tastefully finished with great attention to detail. The property feels at once spacious and cosy providing a comfortable place to relax and an ideal spot from which to explore the surrounding area.
The cottage itself is deceptively spacious. Step inside to the welcoming and tastefully decorated hallway which leads to the comfortable living room with wood burner and French doors to the mature, enclosed garden. An ideal place to unwind after a day of adventuring. Also on the ground floor there is a double bedroom with en-suite and the large modern dining kitchen where you will find a host of modern equipment including a dishwasher and coffee machine. Upstairs you will find the comfortable master and twin bedrooms both with built-in wardrobes and dual aspects providing stunning views of both the Moray Firth and Burghead Bay. The modern bathroom has a walk-in shower and heated towel rail with further great views giving you the chance to spot dolphins as you dry. Back outside, the large garage is where you can use the washing machine, grab an ice lolly from the freezer and dry wetsuits or walking gear, paddle boards, bikes or golf clubs.
Swim and enjoy water sports in the bay, investigate the site of Europe’s largest Pictish fort, watch the annual Burning of the Clavie or dine in an award-winning restaurant, all within a couple of minutes’ walk. Enjoy a stroll along the coastal path to neighbouring Hopeman or along the 7 miles of golden sands to Findhorn. If you are lucky, you will spot the famous Moray bottlenose dolphins or meet seals in the harbour.Further afield, explore the historic city of Elgin or follow the Spey Valley Malt Whiskey trail. For outdoor enthusiasts Aviemore and the Cairngorms are only an hour away while golfers are spoilt for choice with many world class courses within easy reach. Emerald Cottage is the perfect retreat to return to after your busy day, or to simply enjoy relaxing in wonderful surroundings.
