About this property
Jolie Brise, interior created by Cranston Design, close to the harbour
A Cornish wonderland that you will never forget; Jolie Brise is an enchanting Cornish escape with exceptional appeal and true Cornish charm.
An exquisite home from home.
Named after a former Port Isaac resident who owned the house and crewed the original Fastnet winning tall ship of the same name, Jolie Brise has been lovingly restored to the highest standard, and is a spacious, light, and airy self-catering holiday cottage with beautiful charm that comfortably sleeps six people.
Being just steps away from the harbour in Temple Bar (Squeeze-ee-belly-alley), Jolie Brise is presented in an elegant style with a classic slate roof, stylish antique furniture, and a contemporary finish for modern living, styled by Cranston Design.
Ground Floor
Open the front door, slip off your sandals, and step into the large open-plan lounge area, complete with original fireplace and well-stocked wood burner, television, book-filled shelving, and a traditional games box. Something for everyone to relax and enjoy.
Beyond the lounge is a dining area that comfortably seats six people around a traditional farmhouse table - perfect for family gatherings.
The modern well-equipped kitchen is finished to a high standard with a mix of contemporary steel and traditional wooden cabinets.
Outside
Beyond the dining area, a part glazed door leads to a small outside space, perfect for hanging wetsuits and storing boogie boards, or for someone to have a quiet escape and a cuppa on their own.
First floor
‘Halfway up the stairs isn’t up, and isn’t down. It isn’t the nursery; it isn’t the town. And all sorts of thoughts run through my head: It isn’t really anywhere!’’
A.A. Milne
Halfway up the stairs in Jolie Brise there is a beautiful alcove where one can pause and sit in comfort. A perfect place to enjoy a good book, or simply take in the view across the traditional roof tops of the old village of Port Isaac through the French doors and Juliette balcony.
A few steps further lead to the main bedroom suite, complete with king-size bed, television, separate dressing area and en-suite bathroom, with large walk-in shower, sink and toilet.
On this floor, there is also a separate stylish family bathroom, with bath and over-bath shower, and a secluded office space with internet hub.
Second Floor
There are two further spacious bedrooms on the second floor - one king-size and one twin.
Both are beautifully decorated and finished to the highest standard.
