About this property

2 Bedroom Cabin Nestled in the Pines on Quiet Lake

Our family-friendly cabin, located on West Crooked Lake Resort, is a very clean, modern, and well maintained cabin. The large main bedroom contains a full bed and twin bunks and the second bedroom a full bed. The living area has a comfortable futon that can sleep 2, so the cabin sleeps up to 8 people. The main bedroom has a sliding glass patio door with access to an extra large deck where you can relax under the shade of pine trees and enjoy a wonderful view of the resort and West Crooked Lake.

The cabin has a large deck, picnic table, charcoal grill, lawn chairs, TV/DVD, A/C, and comes with a fully equipped kitchen that includes a microwave, stove, oven, coffee maker, and all the accompanying dishes, pots and pans, and utensils.

We provide bed linens and towels. We supply toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, and hand soap. This is a non-smoking cabin.

One dock slip is included with the cabin for the fishermen in the group. We have a pontoon and fishing boats to rent if you don't have your own but want to fish or tour beautiful West Crooked Lake.

West Crooked Lake Resort, nestled along 400 feet of lakeshore, is a family-friendly resort located in the Paul Bunyan State Forest, surrounded by towering pines situated on the northeast shore of West Crooked Lake. Located in a quiet wooded area, the cabins sit on spacious grounds overlooking a secluded, beautiful lake. While our location is quiet and serene, we are only 15 miles NE of Park Rapids, MN and 15 miles SW of Walker, MN, where opportunities for shopping, dining, and recreation are plentiful.

We provide activities on the resort for everyone. West Crooked Lake Resort offers relaxation and enjoyment for the entire family. You can enjoy sun bathing on the sandy beach, swimming in the clear water, playing on the Rave Water Park, or reading a book in the shade. Listen to the loons calling, watch eagles soar overhead, glide through the clear waters in a canoe or paddleboat, or just bring a book, relax, and catch some rays on the sandy beach. For the fishermen, West Crooked Lake hosts a large variety of fish including Walleye, Northern, Bass, Perch, Crappie and Sunfish.

Many area attractions are just minutes from the resort. Biking/walking trails, golf courses, casinos, a fun park, a local winery (tours available), horseback riding, shopping and restaurants, and the Headwaters of the Mississippi in Itasca State Park are just a few of the attractions you will find.

Nice place for a getaway.

Late Fall on the lake was a perfect time for a peaceful vacation from the everyday. Nevis is a nice small town and the people were great.

Great For Families

This resort has plenty to do, paddleboards, paddleboats, a water trampoline, and a lilypad for the kids, my nephew loved it there. Just make sure you go to the website to read through all the rules carefully because they are not listed on Vrbo. It was a little disappointing that there was a fire ban and we had paid extra for firewood and we were not refunded our money but otherwise a great place to stay.

False advertising and Excessive Fees

The cabin was nice, however the listing said slept 8. There, were Six if us. But, I was charged a fee for my 2 grandchildren 1 is 5 the other is 1. This fee was not listed anywhere in the VRBO listing. I was told I would get money back at checkout, however there was no one there at 9:00 am. The scheduled check out time. I was also charged a owners fee and a cleaning, but we had to strip the beds, take out the trash and wash the dishes. Not worth the price!! Way to expensive for 2 nights. Late check in 4:00 and early check out 9:00 also shortened the time we had to enjoy the lake. I could of stayed in a 5 star resort for half the price I paid.

Relaxing with the opportunities to do many enjoyable water activities. We loved our vacation.

Very breathtaking. The managers where very kind & helpful. We were glad we had the opportunity to rent a boat, fish, kayak, paddle board and I didn't fall and paddle boat. Many games gave it the extra family time we needed when it rained. The loons were a delight and we enjoyed our cabin and fireplace very much.

Wonderful! We are definitely coming back!

We had a wonderful time at the resort. The lake was so peaceful. Lots to do to keep busy or if you just want to relax, it was perfect for that also. We stayed in #4 for six nights. The cabin was clean and well-maintained. The owners are a wonderful couple. We will definitely be coming back....next time two weeks versus one week! Thank you for taking care of us! We sure enjoyed it!

Gorgeous and accommodating!

The resort is beautiful and view from the cabin was absolutely stunning. The large patio is perfect for having your morning coffee or happy hour with friends or family in the afternoon. I flew in from WA with my 2.5 year old and 3 month old, so the resort provided a pack-n-play and towels for our stay which was soooo nice since I didn’t have room to pack those things! I was also able to borrow life jackets when we were using the beach. The beach was cleaned up every evening and the play equipment was so nice! My daughter absolutely loved spending her days down on the beach. They also had plenty of toys for her to use. At nights you could have a bonfire and make s’mores down by the beach. I have stayed at many rentals over the years and have always been frustrated by the lack of kitchen tools and pans but they had everything I needed - cooking and preparing food for guests was a cinch. I would definitely recommend to families of ANY age. I’ll also be going back as much as possible!
