Skylark has been thoughtfully renovated to retain the characterful features of the original cottage while combining them with an ultra-modern and luxurious extension. The space is bright and open-plan, making it the ideal setting for a group getaway. Spend days enjoying the sunken hot tub and outdoor kitchen, before retreating indoors to wine and dine beside the crackling log burner. Should you wish to explore the area, you're perfectly placed to visit some of North Cornwall's best beaches for water sports, and the tranquil countryside for scenic strolls.
The space
Step inside the bright and airy entrance hall which seamlessly joins the modern timber extension with the 300-year-old original cob cottage. There's plenty of storage for shoes and coats, along with a dressing room and vanity table.
Continue into the open-plan living space which comprises a high-spec kitchen, a dining room which seats six and lounge with an L-shaped sofa. The skylights and huge sliding doors with glass to glass cantilevered corner windows let an abundance of natural light into this immaculate space, making for the perfect place to socialise and relax. When the sun is shining, open the doors to bring the outside in, or snuggle around the luxurious log burner during the chillier months.
Venture back to the hallway which leads to the master bedroom, beautifully appointed with a sumptuous king-size bed, patio doors leading to the garden and a luxury en-suite with a shower and free-standing bath.
Meanwhile, the original part of the home is complete with an additional snug with sofas and a log burner, ideal for a quiet read or to unwind after an adventure-filled day. There's a modern shower room next door, while a staircase leads to the final two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a zip-and-link king-size bed.
Outside, you'll be mesmerised by the panoramic views across the valley, with Exmoor National Park visible in the distance. The garden has been immaculately designed so you can enjoy it in style with a large lawned area and sunken hot tub and fire pit. The beautiful green oak framed outdoor kitchen contains a large wood-fired oven, sink and Kamado Joe BBQ, ideal for alfresco dining.
Across the main driveway is a games room with sofas, a bar, pool and table tennis and a separate utility room with a washing machine.
Guest access
Skylark is accessed through the main driveway with parking for three cars. The key will be left in the safe next to the entrance hall.

Accidental Damage Deposit: To maintain the highest standards in our properties, guests will need to pay a refundable Accidental Damage Deposit of £250 prior to their stay. An advance payment as detailed in the booking summary can be made to waive this requirement.
