We enjoyed the quiet stay while having the down town area just a few minutes walk.
The management responded immediately to our needs. We recommend casa Colima for your safe stay in Sayulita.
We enjoyed our stay on the north end of Sayulita. The house was spacious for our group of 6 + 1 infant. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the views were gorgeous. The location was great for our family and easy access to town on our golf cart. Communication was unclear given that there were three different people I was supposed to contact. Isis was extremely helpful. A few issues came up during our stay and Isis was on them immediately. We got locked out for a few hours because the door keypad malfunctioned and there was a shortage of dishes. The biggest issue was the water getting shut off two separate times during our stay. This was more due to it being a crowded week in Sayulita and not the condo itself. Isis helped get the water back on both times. All in all we enjoyed our stay and felt that it was a good value.
Villa Colima was just wonderful. Amazing views, clean and the rooftop deck was so great. My friends and I like walking so the short 13 minute walk to Sayulita was perfect. It was also nice to be on the north end and in a gated community. It felt very safe. We met many people staying there and everyone was so nice! The beach access was easy and because we were north, it was way less populated and much more relaxing. We did wish there was a few more glasses and Tupperware containers because we cooked every day. But we were just so happy there!! Highly recommend!!
Five middle-aged ladies stayed here and we really enjoyed it. We loved the gorgeous views and the close proximity to town and to the beach. We would stay here again!
Eric and Isis where perfect to work with! They went above and beyond! We loved the location and they had everything we needed to head down to the beach! We had a little issue with the safe not ope ring and they where quick to help and figure it out!
Villa Colima was perfectly situated for our 5 days in Sayulita.
Isis and Eric were helpful booking ground transportation from the airport and a golf cart rental. We loved being able to walk to the beach, as well as town, and the epic views from the roof terrace.
There were a few issues they were responsive to. The last few days, there was active construction on the stairwell railings which made coming & going a bit difficult. (We had a small child with us.)
We did detect a smell while running the washer; fortunately, we did not need to use it more than twice, but the door to the W&D was stuck and difficult to close.
The view was wonderful, the balcony was perfect for the morning with the waves from the ocean and the birds, it was a paradise. The roof top palapa at night with the city lights and ocean breeze.
Wished for more creature comforts, extra pillow on the bed would have been wonderful. Chairs that would have been more comfortable, would have made me feel like never leaving.
Not sure if I will stay in the same condo but, I will be returning to Sayulita.
I can not say enough about how awesome our stay was! Eric and Noah were so incredibly helpful even before arrival. We had a few things that needed to be taken care of and they were on it super quick!! We most definitely stay again.
The Monterosa Condo was lovely, beautiful views, great pool and on the quiet side of town. I recommend renting a golf cart as the walk into town and up the hill can become a bit much after a couple of days. No need for a car unless you are planning day trips to other towns. The condo itself was very comfortable but the kitchen was not as stocked as the description indicated. Eric was very receptive to this observation and assured me that he would look into it. I recommend this rental to couples, families or groups of friends,
We spent a week in sayulita and this was a perfect location. Steps from a quiet and beautiful beach and short walk or golf cart ride to downtown. The home has amazing views and all the amenities. The complex is quiet, clean and has a beautiful pool.
We hadn't been to Sayulita in 15 years! It has changed a lot but still the wonderful quaint town we loved back then. The condo was clean and in safe neighborhood, from what we could tell. We actually do cook when on vacation and I would suggest an overhaul of the pots and pans. The nonstick were so scratched.....and I don't mean to be picky but I have such a pet peeve about those....they are toxic too cook on as is, but when scratched even more so, and they never last! I wish more VRBOs would just invest in stainless steel that can take the overuse! other than that, all was good.
Overall it was quiet except the two nights a loud rager was taking place in a condo across the parking area. We believe it may have been a wedding party. We're talking live band followed by DJ until 2am. Even ear plugs couldn't drown it out because you could literally feel the music! I wish we weren't so tired from a long day, we would have just joined the fun. :-). So that was a definite bummer, bur that wasn't fault of this condo or Eric. It happens. The night we arrived, after returning from getting dinner, the door wouldn't open. The lock battery died. It was 9pm and I had to call Eric to let us in....... I felt so bad having to call him that late! He came right away and was there first thing in the AM fixing it. Eric was a great host, we wouldn't hesitate renting from him again! Looking forward to visiting Sayulita again in the near future! Maybe next time we will try a house right on the beach!
The view from this place is amazing. We love the pool. The property manager was awesome. He pointed in the right directions for the best places to eat and the best beaches to visit
We would stay at this property again in a heartbeat! Near the beach. A short walk to town. The pool was great as was the upper patio. The view from the patio was hard to beat. We were 3 couples and the only thing we would change would be the bed sizes.
Clean, responsive communication, detailed description of neighborhood and friendly friendly local businesses and people. Ben the condo manager was there to welcome and check us in and even hauled out luggage to the 2nd floor for us. The building was in a safe neighborhood and the pool was nice and the flights of stairs did not bother us at all, even our toddler loves counting how many steps each time we walked them-great workout! The weather was not too nice the first 3 days, but we still found plenty of things to do and enjoy in town and around the area. Sayulita was full of beach living life, our toddler had a blast eating different styles of street tacos and we even cooked several yummy meals with fresh fish from the local seafood store that had fresh mackerel, mahi mahi and snapper. Los Meurtos beach was beautiful on the last full day and the golf cart was necessary with our toddler! The other days we lazed in front of Don Pedro's restaurant (you can rent the beach chairs)and had fun in the waves watching the surfers.
The condo itself was clean, with enough utensils and dishes for 3-4 people and the upstairs rooftop area was a nice place for afternoon sunning and reading (the hammock is the best to snooze in!) while the toddler was napping.
WE even booked massages one afternoon while nap time was happening for the baby and had them set up on the rooftop. The view from the condo is incredible of the beach and the closeby local restaurants were all fun, friendly and decent. WE preferred to search out where locals would go for some traditional fare like Birra and Menudo, but were unsuccessful.
Having a washer/dryer was a plus especially with a two year old!
Bring pesos, as we forgot to make the currency change but there are plenty of ATMs dishing out US Dollars or Pesos.
Overall, we had a blast and I would go back too Sayulita in a heartbeat!
Thank you Eric for sharing your home!
Excellent location! Liked that we had a short walk to town. The views from the two different balconies were fantastic. Very comfortable for all five adults.
We were very happy with the accommodations, there were 6 of us, there was plenty of room, the community pool was great, and the Condo and grounds were very clean.

Bad virus in the town of Sayulita
The condo we stayed in was fine but the town of Sayulita has a big problem.
All 60+ people that attended the destination wedding got really sick with vomiting and diarrhea. Apparently, this has been going on for years. Google Sayulita Virus to learn for yourself.
